Final Approach 2007 DVDRiP XviD-AFG

This appears to be a decent budget, made-for-TV movie. The storyline seems somewhat generic and the user-reviews I have read were very evenly mixed but it looks like a good action thriller, I guess you’ll either love it or hate it. Anyway, down to business, AFG has released this DVDRip of this TV movie Final Approach a 2CD release and the video is just about perfect, but only with MP3 audio, I don’t know if the source had 5.1, would have been nice.

Plot: FBI hostage rescue team leader Jack Bender has been sacked for not being a team player, and months later he finds himself in the ultimate hostage nightmare: stuck aboard a plane that’s been taken over by a group of well-armed terrorists who threaten to detonate a nuclear weapon unless they receive a billion dollars…

Jack Bender is actually the name of a director who’s pretty much responsible for any of the good Lost episodes. You name any of the big episodes, or your favourite episodes and you can pretty much guess that he directed them.

Wasn’t there a movie starring him where HE was the guy holding everyone on the plane hostage about 10 years ago? Talk about reversal of roles.

A very, very original plot here… Terrorists demending money on hijacked airplanes… Or they will detonate the bomb. And always some FBI-undercover cop on-board that will put up resistance. Like seriously, haven’t they had enough of this garbage? It always ends the same, and always will. Nothing more then a horrible headache…
What else is there? Endless streams of MARVEL comic character movies
with endless sequels? (Their goal is to create a movie out of every single MARVEL comic character or group, that should be dead-obvious by now) Just more USA garbage there full of useless CG, and more UK brittish gangster garbage here… There were some good ones a while back. Snatch, Formula 51, to name some. But those are long gone now replased with pure trash… What a waste of time.

Why does the poster strangely resemble the Transporter movie posters?
Jeez, can’t come up with new ideas at all now, huh.

@11 You mean Lost has “big episodes”?

Hard to believe since only little girls and douche bags watch that crap.
    Which are you?

Fun you say? Hardly… The only movie that masters this scenario
and did an okay job with it was ‘Con Air’ with Nicholas Cage.
Now that was an enjoyable watch. Many here would agree to that.
These days these movies as well as games that are full of CG… XBoX 360, PS3, WiII that mostly concentrate on graphics, that is ALL. Good story is gone, good music is gone, goon replay value is gone, good experience that will trigger a synapse of enjoyable memories about the game is gone. Good skill (fast finger-eye movement, memory re-organization is gone as well as Bi-manual games which are gone,
(VR is also gone, sickly RE-MOVED more like it) The enjoyable game
scene was in the PSX-DC-NEOGEO-Game Cube-Early PS2 era, as well as the Atomiswave arcade cabinets (CAPCOM hardware with perfect joystick spring-tension, button response). Over 84% of game fanatics, veterans (myself included) that know their sh1t agreed to that. (some magazines printed poll statistics to that as well) Movies wise?? The good-ol movie scene died ages ago… This is the same crap over and over with different actors, that is more pitiful then the previous make. These directors (Uwe Ball being a fine example, and the like) is why the scene is rotting away like a dried-up coarpse in the wastelands. Very, very rarely does a good film come out, that does things properly. It is very sad that games
& movies went downhill. On the PC games, I see that these fools are STILL-TO-DATE captivated by CS, or the never-ending stream of WWII games. (enough already, no?) Of course not…

I haven’t heard of the movie, have nothing to say about it, however I have something to say about the group released it:
    wow!
    I’m shocked!
A scene group with people with brains?!
They actually, mysteriously managed figured out that a 2 hours movie looks better on 2 CDs?
    Wow! amazing!

    P.S.
This was sarcasm towards the scene itself, where groups put more effort and energy in childish behavior with ret@rderness hate each other, with all these id!otic nuke wars, instead of put all that energy into quality of their releases.
    GROUP UP PEOPLE!

Surprisingly good to be such low budget (I just say omg such ugly cg of the plane >_<).
Personally I really don’t care that much about the minor (and major) screwups they made (like with the “small” airport having a radar dome, big control tower, stairs suited for big passenger airplanes etc).
Watch it with no expectations and you might just enjoy yourself, I know I did ^^
