Fifth Gear S13E09 WS PDTV XviD-RiVER

Tonights episode of the very popular TV show Fifth Gear is brought to us by RiVER, as usual. The video quality is a little better than the usual TV show, not 624×352 but 640×352 so you get the extra width.

Tiff Needell drives a 200mph car at the Daytona 500 race and Vicki Butler-Henderson tries out Bentley’s Continental GT Speed. Jason Plato drives a supercharged Lotus Elise whilst Tom Ford tests an executive saloon, the Jaguar XF. Meanwhile, the VW Golf GTi and Subaru Impreza WRX compete in the shoot-out

They should show more affordable cars in their “reviews”, instead of going for cars that pretty much noone will buy, unless you are filthy rich.

The only car I have ever appreciated on the show is the Nissan GTR.

Obviously they have the Sub and the Golf, but what about the other cars out there, damnit!

Don’t worry Americans. Top gear will be back in the summer. I wish it would come back quicker, there’s nothing on at 8pm Sunday anymore.

@13 what do you expect, it’s made by channel 5. The continental GT speed review in this show just highlights the difference between this and Top Gear, she bottled it at 160 on a test track, proof if any were needed that this show can never get to Top Gear :P

    @14

LOL yeh when she bottled it at 160 i was sayin i bet it hammond or clarkson was doin it they’d get it to 200…i bet even May woulda got it above 160

    March 18th, 2008 | 02:58

u know what i just realised…the whole point of the continental GT review was to see if the car actually did 200mph like advertised…and they didnt actually achieve it? what was the point of the review?

give vicki a break. the track they went to was a really small oval with no straights. 160 is a lot in that track.

The only thing Channel 5 are good for is CSI, Shark and crappy Steven Seagal movies.

Speaking of which, did anyone else see “Out for a Kill” last week? In all seriousness, I think that might be the one of the worst films ever made.

Boo 5′th Gear, Top Gear will be back in the second week of April according to my sources, we won’t have to wait all the way til the summer!

  23. I actually have a driving license and a car!

Fifth Gear is fine, I am no big fan but at least they concentrate on the cars instead of the (so called) personalities like Top Gear.

When I watch a show about cars I don’t want to see a group of middle aged tw@ts fanny about on quad bikes or race jet fighters or drive to the freakin’ North Pole. I want to see new cars being put through there paces by people who can actually drive..

Which brings us back to Fifth Gear, the presenters, apart from that large waisted balding Bill Bailey wannabe can all drive exceptionally. Tiff is an incredibly well respected driver, that younger bloke, he’s a pro racer and the girly is pretty skilled. Any one of them could out drive the Top Gear lot.

Having said that, it’s still poorly made and I don’t watch it.

Hey, all the old top gears are out there for download. Well worth watching the early stuff, the show used to be about cars! A lot better than todays crap.

Also I could beat any of you in a race, I beat ghostrider.

lol @ 23. For someone who claims not to watch Fifth Gear you certainly know plenty about it. How, pray tell? Oh, btw, you couldn’t beat GhostRider even if you had a bottle of compressed nitrous-oxide blazing out your sphincter.
