    The premise kinda ruins it for me. No one sentenced to only 3 years is going to a maximum security facility. They might go to medium, but probably low security, especially for involuntary manslaughter. Sorry, maybe I know the system too well.

    @13 - dude, share your crack! The movie does have a ‘made for tv feel’ but that’s more to do with the film used than the quality of the cast/acting/story. Yes, certain parts are a little unrealistic, as babalu describes @9, but still a worthwhile film. Kilmer is growing to be a better actor, and this role was great for him… his growth (girth, not spiritual) suited this role, and his understated performance was perfect. Dorff performed similarly well, if not better. No Oscars for their performances, but still two damn fine performances considering the script and depth of writing on offer. I’d give a 7/10 and a thumbs up (and that’s better than average). :)

    Great movie,
    and @Babalu did you watch it yet? He gets thrown into SHU due to his involvement with the crime on the prison bus and everything escalates from there. This was a pretty easy plot angle to follow, but maybe I just have a better attention span than some.

    If you think about it though they arent really making money from the scene releases if you take into account the costs of running this fine website and then the cost of connecting each of their computers to the internet they arent really making money from scene releases as even with such large amounts of visitors hardly any of which will click those links anyway they are losing money

    two things in response to some statements/comments

    one reason the budget was low was Val Kilmer worked for next to nothing because its was filmed just miles from his ranch

    second some one said something about the movie and someone sentenced to 3 years wouldnt goto that type of prison ****SPOILER******
    first of all his bid gets extended because he catches another charge on the bus, which is then also labeled as an arian so thats why he is in 23 hour locckdown

    Brilliant film, and what a tense ending.
    Some good twists and turns.
    As for 3 years in a max prison - it was murder commuted to manslaughter for a plea. Then the bus incident. Either way, still a brilliant film for all involved.

    STG is not a scene group, and for 9/10 ‘releases’ creates complete CRAP compared to what he was ‘fixing’ look at zohan r5 for proof.

    Excellent flick.

    Although it greatly exaggerates the current dangers of prison life here in the U.S., almost every situation it uses to bash the U.S. prison and judicial systems has really happened at one time or another.

    Worth watching…

    After watching this movie all i can say is WOW!..INTENSITY squared.the brutal honesty of the actors performances just blew me away.The lead actor ive usually seen as a bad in films, and here you see someone vulnerable and in circumstances beyond his control. Situations where he struggles to hold onto his humanity in a place where it is being beaten out of him literally. and ultimately he has to become as brutal as those around him in order to survive.Val was awesome, and Huge! both his character and body carried weight and presense as well a a hidden depth abt why he became who he was. Raw and intense ,the actors i felt were utterly immersed in their roles. great film! thanks so much fo the upload
