   Should check out the original show “Masters of Horror” on HBO. This new show “Fear Itself” is on NBC, so it won’t show all the good gore and nudity the original series did.

   Fear Itself is a horror/suspense anthology television series on NBC. The show’s title comes from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s famous quote “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.”

    Episode line up not in order

    Episode 1 is titled Eater and was written by Jonathon Schaech and Richard Chizmar. It’s helmed by Re-Animator director Stuart Gordon, and focuses on a female rookie cop who spends her first night watching over a murderer who eats his victims and takes their identities; but as the night goes on she realizes something strange is going on with everyone in her precinct. The episode stars Elizabeth Moss, Russell Hornsby, Stephen Lee, Pablo Schreiber, and Stephen Hart.

    Episode 2 is titled Spooked, written by Matt Venne and directed by Brad Anderson. It follows a private eye who stakes out a haunted house, only to be tormented by the spirits of those he wronged in the past. It stars Eric Roberts, Cynthia Watros, Jack Noseworthy, and Larry Gilliard Jr..

    Episode 3, Community, is written by Kelly Kennemer and directed by Mary Harron, and follows a young married couple who move into what seems to be the perfect community. But when their neighbors start going to extremes to induce conformity, terror creeps in. This episode stars Brandon Routh and Shiri Appleby.

    Episode 4 is titled The Sacrifice. It’s written by Mick Garris and directed by Breck Eisner, and follows four young guys on a camping trip that eventually leads them to a snow-covered fortress, where sexy women with a dark secret from Transylvania await. It stars Jeffrey Pierce, Jesse Plemons, Rachel Miner, Mircea Monroe and Stephen Martines.

    Episode 5 is titled In Sickness and in Health, and is written by Victor Salva. It’s being directed by John Landis (An American Werewolf in London) and follows a young bride who finds a note telling her the person she’s about to marry is a serial killer. It stars James Roday and Maggie Lawson.
