Fear 2007 DVDRip XviD-BrG

I’m new here and I go by the name Desi. This is my first post. Surprisingly it’s a desi movie. I live in India and I’m turning 20 on the 15th. I work part time and spend the rest of my time online. You can say I live online. Rlslog has captivated me from the beginning and it’s nice to see it has grown to be the largest scene info site. I’m proud to be here.

We don’t get many bollywood releases even though India produces more feature-length movies than any other country in the world. I guess they make hundreds of low budget films that don’t really manage to take off. Group BrG it seems specializes in releasing Bollywood films (last 10 releases all Bollywood). Their tip of the week is “Resistance is futile, Entertainment is mobile”. The movie comes in a single cd DvdRip so the quality shouldn’t be questionable. This movie, surprisingly is releasing on the internet and on Dvd before it hits the theaters. “It’s going to open up new corridors for movie marketing.”, says Vikram Bhatt, the Director. There isn’t much more I could find about this movie. Even the plot. I haven’t watched it myself but if you are into foreign films give it a go since subs come in four languages. I haven’t seen any negative comments about it.

Fear stars Ed O’Ross and Three child actors who were all really good.
It’s about a little boy who you never know if he is telling the truth, or his nightmares are really happening.

I dont think BrG is a ‘Scene’ group as all of their releases are P2P first (Bollywood Torrent sites)

Wow bollywood. Welcome Desi. Is it me or is this like movie tester week. The Korean films and now bollywood. I would think that the UK and American releases are more popular though, but I did enjoy a few of the Korean releases. Their sense of humor is rather interesting. Oh and their are a few new TUS releases today, but not of good quality. However, they are out and I think negate bollywood entirely.

I’ve actually seen this movie and the description is wrong because they mixed up two different movies with the credits. A man rescues a woman from the river and takes here home and she starts having visions that sometimes compares to the japanese ghost movies. Hindi horror movies are rarely really scary , but this one is decent and a little cheesy. I love the Bollywood stuff so I’m happy Desi is here….

#13, there is not thing as “American Originals”. Almost all Hollywood movies are copies of a old erupean or asian movie (the ring, even G. Lucas accepted star wars was based in a kurosawa movie).

What did you think I meant when I put down “Original” up there. I meant an unique, original, new conceptual movie with great actors and made with LA quality. I totally enjoyed Johnny Depp in Fear and Lothing in Las Vegas. Everybody knows The Matrix, Bourne, James Bond and Oceans. Come on… You know what Im dragging on about ;) Deja vu was another big suprise. Sure, The Ring and Starwars are big american productions. But are indeed ripoffs of the somewhat lame asiantype’o'movies. Now, Im not an patriotic American, lol, Im Dutch, so Im not saying that american movies are per definition better than others… its just that mostly they are. Bigger is better. The Blair witch project was crap, low budget, no effects, no story. Starwars was crap, big budget, too much effect, bizar story. When the timing, settings, actors, budget, effect are working together in a magic way, an American Original is born! It’s just one of those moments when you can not download the movie because you have to have seen it in the cinema. Oh well, Ill cut the crap lol. I got a bit of a cold and is messing with me head making me talk jibberish lol.

    as far as i know

in hindi country is called “desh” and a foreign country is called “videsh”. so a foreigner is called “videshi” and a person belonging to the country is called “desi”.

as this is a hindi term so mainly people from india sometimes call themselves desi on the internet although people from surrounding countries also sometimes use this term.

Just a suggestion with all the new movies coming out I believe its time to set up separate sections for different types. One for indies, and others such as: action, horror, and drama. With the most prominent or to be popular ones left on the front page. Putting this ahead of a tecline or xvid of seeker that has been released is by far disappointing on some levels, but I liked your review and think your going to be an asset. Just a suggestion. I think everyone should know about this site as I get tired of hearing whats the quality. My reply should be check out desi’s post on rlslog.net.

ok backstabber replying to ur post

I must tell you that yes most Indian movies have singing and dancing. even the gangster movies. I guess Its something the Indian audience is used to. Generally even if the movie is a flop the songs are a hit and the directors make money.

If there is no singing and dancing in a movie than the viewers are less.

Welcome Desi, the more variety, the better. Message to the staff though: I think you need to rework the format of the site to have more categories and more compact entries which can be expanded. When you make an entry about a movie rls, keep the quality info brief (one sentence) and make additional points in a “read more” link. Same with the plot summary, first 2 sentences with a “… read more” link etc. I check rlslog twice a day (religiously) and on the heaviest days I have to flip through 3 or 4 pages just to see what I missed. I tend to read most of the entries so keeping it concise would make the info more accessible, (at least to me). It could also save you bandwidth. Hmm… never watched a bollywood flick before. Guess i’ll give this a go.

    @NoVaDJ

You have to realize that although you may consider this movie “very low budget”, India is a poor country, and as such, their movie industry hasn’t got the resources available to it that Hollywood does.

  63. Desi staff member
    October 9th, 2007 | 04:32

yes anthony thats entirely true and also that the Indian audience is generally very pleased with cheesy special effects and acting. Well acting is actually very emotional in Bollywood films. Better acting than hollywood.

Just to let you know I am a big fan of Bollywood movies including South Indian(Tamil & Telugu). I’ve been watching them for over 5 yrs and own about 200 of them. When I’m talking about low budget I mean low budget for Bollywood standards and I wasn’t trying to be insulting. I just wanted people to know this movie “FEAR” is not a good example of a Bollywood movie if that’s what someone wanted to see. SOme Bollywood movies such as KRRISH had special effects better than some Hollywood movies.

    Wickidi,
you don’t know what you are talking about!
Being dutch and talking about “American originals”!
I do understand what you mean! But most movies that are made in Hollwood aren’t original concepts! The concepts always seem to based on other movies, books or comics! If you had an idea how Hollywood worked than you wouldn’t have used the term “original”! And Bollywood movies also copies from other movies! Sometimes it works out good and sometimes it doesn’t! But I must admit that sometimes they do add some special elements that you would never find in a Hollywood movie! Example: “Satte Pe Satta” a movie starring Amitabh Bachan is sort of a remake of “Seven Brides for Seven brothers (1954! And they managed to be just as good and even better since they added more dramatic elements to the movie! I think that if Bollywood would focus on making movies for the international world and leave out certain elements like song and dance than Hollywood certainly have some competition! So my point is it not so easy to write off or dismiss Bollywood movies!
By the way you mentioned “The matrix” as an original concept! I loved the movie but it is a known fact that the Warchawski Brothers are big fans of Hong Kong movies and borrowed a lot of these movies!
“Bullet Time” is just an updated version of the slow motion used in John Woo movies (Like Better Tomorrow,Hard Boiled and the Killer). Even the famous scene where Neo dodges bullet is inspired by “Full Contact” from Ringo Lam with Chow Yan Fat.
All the action used in “The Matrix” are based on several action movies made in Hong Kong! And they even used Woo-ping Yuen for choreographing this!
The cool outfits and the dark sunglasses also taken from John Woo movies!
Be careful when you use the term original certainly when it comes to movies made in Hollywood!

    October 9th, 2007 | 19:56

@ V, right on 007, I allready thought off that myself, but being of the younger generation, my argument was based on the latest movies.

@ Bruce, yer, I know… but being inspired by somes but still make your own movie is a whole lot different than taking an existing concept and make it ya own (maybe bend a few lines and scenes to avoid any kind of artistic copy infringement). Now, maybe Ive given you some bad examples… but sure there are more better ones, for instant Pirates of the Caribbean (Perhaps another inspired by a true story/game/book/movie, but hea, its done nicely and big setup, I like it) I agree on the fact, that most hollywood releases suck and are ripoffs of existing (US or non-US for that matter) movies, books, series, whatever, but it has nothing to do with the fact that in hollywood there CAN actually be made some excellent movies. I rarely checkout movies, but when I do, Id like them, and here I go again, American Originals, not just the normal type but also (non pokémon-a-like) animationmovies. Oeh, and remember Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold… that one is a perfect example. Although based on a book from an english chap, this movie was brought out in 1987 and yes, how can it not be, it made in the goo’ ol’ USA. So keep the two apart ok ;) With original it’s not just the main line, its the overal picture.
