Just a small post to let you guys know that group iND have released v1.01 Multiplayer enabler for Fear 2, Installation info is in the NFO. Enjoy!

The second heart-stopping shooter by Monolith (after F.E.A.R.) continues the spine-tingling supernatural suspense story of an escalating paranormal crisis that threatens to destroy a major American city. At the center of the calamity is the mysterious Alma, whose rage against those who wronged her triggered a chain of events that has spiraled completely out of control.     Can someone PLEASE PLEAS PLEASE post some new working MEGASHARES links for the actual pc version of the game.
    I've managed to get fear2_b.iso but the links stop working for part a and b. All links i've found seem to be dead and not work.

    If someone could post those i would very much appreciate it.

    f### uploadjockey i am sick of them cuz when i try to download sth from there it opens 4 ads and they stcik to your pc sucking all your performance.dont know why you guys upload over there.it just sucks and @4 why give a 100mb file for sth so small as 6.35 mb.you suck too

    Keep in mind Monolith did NOT make either Fear Expansion Pack so they were both pretty bad xp's. But F.E.A.R 2 is a quality continuation from Monolith.

    So, this release is for version 1.01, therefore NFO says:
    "This game requires updating through steam, which is avaliable at http://www.steampowered.com".

    But how do I get that 1.01 patch in the first place? Is it possible to update a the DIE-release of Fear2 via Steam:
    - without having to activate it through steam (verification check)
    - without having to enter a valid CD-Key?

    Don't think so.

    i believe you don't need this update if you have F.E.A.R.2.Project.Origin-DIE installed, as far as i know that version is already 1.01.

    correct me if i'm wrong though.

    F.E.A.R.Project.Origin-DIE:
    File Version 1.0.2240.0

    SOo dunno if it'll work for the DIE version.

    the DiE exe = v1.0.2240.0
    the iND exe – v1.0.2255.0

    so this means the DiE release is 1.00 and must be updated.
    but i don't like to do it through steam, there must be another way to do it like having the whole update cracked so it could be extracted over the DiE version or something.

    i used this update and it works fine on all servers its superb u just extract and overwrite the old files and tweak the rev.ini file. and die release doesnt have 1.01 already installed u have to update it http://www.mininova.org/tor/2297237

    actually the Cracked EXEs for the 1.01 update were made by ilefx from http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4723241/F.E.A.R.2.Project.Origin.1.0.2255.0.CRACK

    I didn't test the pack or the Cracked EXEs, so don't ask me.

    If you don't have sound problems, then the 1.01 update is not needed.

    Either way you can try it.

    YES this works on Legit servers. For now at least :)

    I've used this on the 1.0 version and it works! This in fact is the 1.01 update! The only thing you need to connect to legit steam server is to have the latest steam agent update(not the game)! I already had a steam account!

    It doesn't touch your steam account or log into it nor require you to even have STEAM running while u play the game so you don't get banned!

    Also don't forget to edit "rev.ini" file to specify the location of the original steamclient.dll
    The last line should be something like this!

    SteamClientDll=C:\Program Files\STEAM\steamclient.dll

    can confirm that the DREiTAGEWACH update works with the DiE version.

    just replace all the files and start the fear2.exe without any loader needed.

    Sorry but this Enabler Thing does NOT work, i made everything right from Steam to the rev.ini, but it lists absolute no servers in game to play on ! whats wrong ?

    HEllo, does this work on DIE release, and do i have to manually add the servers, or it will just show up if i patch it right. Also does it affect singleplayer, is it true that it will erase saves? please answer on these questions if they are not hard :D

    Use the DREiTAGEWACH update if you have the DiE version.

    Confirmed to work with the F.E.A.R.2.Project.Origin-DIE and F.E.A.R.2.Project.Origin.GERMAN.UNCUT-DREiTAGEWACH.

    This will update your game to v1.01 and still allows you to play on original multiplayer servers.

    Just extract all the files in your FEAR 2 install directory overwriting the old ones. (note that your saved games won't work with v1.01, finish the the SP first or select the last chapter)

    Saved games still there but won't load with the 1.01 update.
