Fay Grim LIMITED DVDSCR XviD-LCE
A very small group LCE (3 releases, 2 of them nuked) released a nice dvd screener of limited thriller Fay Grim. This movie is a sequel of older film Henry Fool and it tells the story circling about FBI and national security. I have nothing more to say about this, read the plot and if you feel interested by it, give it a try.
Hal Hartley continues the story he began in “Henry Fool” ten years after, as Fay Grim (Posey) is coerced by a CIA agent (Goldblum) to try and locate notebooks that belonged to her fugitive ex-husband (Ryan). Published in them is information that could compromise the security of the U.S., causing Fay to first head to Paris to fetch them.

Yes it’s true, the audio is really out of sync. I’ll get it when someone does a better job of it.

the synch was not difficult to fix. it is (was – heh) exactly half a second off. for those that care…

(it will be almost a gig if you do correctly)
-extracted video only as direct stream
-join process video only as direct stream
and uncompressed audio only with +500 ms skew
as 128 CBR MPEG-1 Layer 3 compression
=synched perfect

Since I edited this movie I was curious to see how this looked. It’s a terrible job. Picture quality is awful compared to the HD original, but that’s a given with these Internet movie downloads. The audio sync is unbearable. I don’t know how anyone could watch it that way.
I am excited to see that there are people interested enough in this film to pirate it, but really if you want to see more movies like this, see it in the theater or rent it on DVD. It comes out in theaters in the US May 18th and on DVD May 22nd. The picture quality is incredible if you happen to see it projected digitally. And you’ll really be making a difference to a filmmaker whose films don’t make much money.
I’ll see it in the cinema because it’s Hal Hartley, not Michael Bay…

What kinda crap releaselog is this? Don´t write “nice” dvd screener when its half a sec out of sync. Whats the point in even writing about releases if you haven t seen em?
intrested enough to pirate? HEH…HAL ROCKS! and a quik search of p2p shows there are quite a few “intrested” people…ive been anticipating this films release for months! as for the quality…anyone who has a clue about the scene knows what to expect from a screener…we download these because we want to see the movie…not to “pirate” it which implys we are gonna rush out and sell it: NOT TRUE. Yes im sure some dipshits do really “pirate” screeners and other dipshits buy them…but anyone with any sense [the majority] waits for the real DVD to drop dollars. whats more disgusting then any scr release is the scum on amazon offering advance auto-graphed copys and such of this…the fact this was released to the scene shows the intent of everyone involved is NOT to “pirate” the film or make/take money but to simply watch it. I would rather have a colonoscopy then go to a theater; sitting in a foul shit-stained seat with a gaggle of idiots [re:stupid spotty teenagers]and pay ten bucks for a soda?
