     I am glad to see that the majority of people have not been affected by propaganda and region interests.
     Let me ask you a few questions, because you seem to rely more on the fact you are a teacher rather than answering speciffically to each address you receive.
     The one thesis you use is that the Macedonians where northern tribes that descended in the region… And I ask: aren’t all greek tribes?

     Another question: what defines a civilization? Because in present times we have borders, but what about back then?
     Let me answer: It is a group of people sharing the same religion and language isn’t it? I believe it is proven what religion and language the Macedonians had.
     Have you wondered what that weird helmet is that Alexander was wearing? It was a lions head, since Alexander himself BELIEVED HE WAS A DESCENDANT OF HERCULES HIMSELF. If I can recall, Hercules was pretty much greek…
     Another question you haven’t answered is this: how could Alexander compete in the Olympic games, striclty a helenic privillege back then?

     Finally, you say that Macedonians were under hellenic rule. Count how many other greek city states had the same fate in the Meditterranian… Even so, this means these people were nothing else than greek before, unless you can tell me what they considered themselves to be… Slavs? The oldest unit they can belong to after they descended is the hellenic one… nothing to do with slavs…

     As for books go, no need for greek written ones, there are plenty of good reads from top universities other than greek.
     I am not sure about this, but I think some ansestors of Alexander lived in Southern Greece.

     Also, during the expedition to the East, after a victory of Alexanders Army he ordered his men to enscribe that: “this is dedicated to all HELLENS, except the Spartans” since they didn’t take part…

     Another frustrated clueless Slavic wannabe!!! Anyway to end with this festivity of idiocy here are a couple of things to consider.

     Skopje’s history is based on falsification or better fabrication of a so called “Macedonian” history and nation. First thing, their “scholars” did was to get rid off all evidences and everything which would connect the Slavs of FYROM to their brethren Bulgarians.

     - They changed all their Bulgarian surnames from -ov to -vski to fool themselves that they are different from Bulgarians.

     - They got rid off, as much elements as they could from their Bulgarian language as to try and convince everybody that their dialect was something separate from Bulgarian.

     - Another thing is their attempt to convince everyone that ancient Macedonia and its history is something separate from Hellas and Hellenic history. Thats why you see all over internet nothing else than Slavic propaganda of the type “Macedonians are/were not Hellines” “Alexander hated Hellenes” blah blah and such pathetic excuses. Now think of a while their argumentation.

     They think that if they somehow manage to put forward the claim that Alexander was not Greek, then this will mean automatically according to their Screwed up brains that he was a Slav.

     Unfortunately for them, all historic sources, all archeological findings proved that ancient Macedonians were greeks so what could they do for that? To claim Modern Greeks arent descedants of Ancient Greeks. Thats why they fabricated in their historic books and are distributing to their schools that modern greeks are descendants of…Ethiopians, Persians, Egyptians (Opinions of the former Bulgarians of FYROM vary in a wide range depending on the current brainwashing project), that’s why we witness in the net unfounded reports of paid ‘geneticists’ from West Bulgarians that ended up to be the new anecdote of the scientific community (the scientific community is still laughing with the case of Arnaiz-Villena) and now paid journalists through articles that could make the village idiot look like genious, to propagate an ‘indentity’ for these poor creatures.

     In the meanwhile, the country of FYROM remains one THIRD-WORLD COUNTRY, with West Bulgarians from one side begging Greek government not to block their way in NATO and from the other side licking the soles of the Greek businessmen shoes so that they open up a small business with some of their money in their third-world country and pull off these poor creatures even temporarily from their misery.

     How can you say we are always preaching greek history when you see that we are just replying to offending people who deny our ancestors and spread propaganda? You say that we have nothing to do with the ancient greeks… After 3000 years it is natural to differ quite a bit from your ancestors, but in that manner you shouldn’t be called (whatever country you are from) because in the last 300 years there have been many cross-breeds (and theres nothing wrong with that). But it is what you are according to what your parents raised you to be, as what their parents raised them to be etc.. Plus biologically some genes are always there…

     While im at it .. i can do a little minireview after playing some of the missions. For you guys who are more interested in the game then the history (!) .. this game is quite entertaining. It reminds me alot of the old warcraft system where u are yo harvest gold, shop wood and build farms. The farms in fate of hellas though are not for increase number of population limit but to make them not loose health (the soldiers). What i like about the game is the equip soldier feat. which allow you not to build preset soldiers from your barracks.. but to equip them (from own made swords, shields, bows etc, or from items the enemy drop when you kill them) and make your own “presets”. When an enemy falls.. they drop their items which u collect with your peasants.

     *possible spoiler for first mission*
     The bad about the game is that i found it quite hard. Im no RTS gamer but i actually had problem finish the first mission on normal becuse of the AI enemy that attacked quite soon after start with way bigger army then i had. It also gets hard to control all the units when big fights occur but once again that might be because im not used to rts :).

     Overall I like the game. Its not superb, but it ok. I’d rate it 6/10 ..

     i would like to ask a question to the that claim to be macedonians.i would really like to have an answer to this.

     suppose a number of fyrom citizens migrates to a different country (say australia).does that make them eligible -after a number of years- to claim a part of australia as their own just because they migrated there?
     even if the slavic tribes did come to the specific region some centuries back, that does not make them as the inheritents of that land nor the descendants of the culture which was dominant there.they were simply an ethnic minority.sad, but true.

     otherwise there is a number of greek enterprenuers that has gone to fyrom.according to your logic, fyrom should be greek too since greeks “just happen” to live to your country

     50-60 yrs. ago a lot of greeks migrated to america.now there are 2nd even 3rd generation greeks to various cities in the u.s.

     -again using your own arguments- should they as well claim that they are the only americans existant in those cities?weren’t there people living in those cities before the greeks’ arrival?have they lost their right to be u.s. citizents?

     i really support your right to find your own ethnic/cultural character.what i don’t support is the false pretention of ancestry of a totally different culture ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TRUE GOAL -NO MATTER HOW PATHETIC THIS MAY BE- IS TO EXPAND THE NATIONAL SOVEREIGN OF A STATE.(our skopians know very well what i mean)

     I don’t agree with your claims about the Macedonians being a distinct ethnic group… Most claims that support this are usually backed only by the fact that they had a different political structure. (actually, there were many Hellenic kingdoms rather than democracy, Epirus for example).

     Also, you’re claim that ‘The Macedonians were under Greek rule for a millenia’ is completely false. They were not under Greek rule for a millenia, and if they were, under which city states? (because as we all know there was no common Hellenic state or empire at that time).

     Of course if we go to the bottom line none of this is very relevant… The fact that the Macedonians IDENTIFIED AS HELLENES, the fact that they SPREAD HELLENIC CULTURE, the fact that they SPREAD THE HELLENIC LANGUAGE, this is more than enough to say that they were Greek.

     Lets make an ASSUMPTION (for the sake of discussion) that the Macedonians were a distinct tribe in ancient times, like the Tracians, and not Hellenic.

     Does this justify a Slavic speaking, mostly Bulgarian peoples to claim the Macedonian name and legacy as their own? Especially when this non Hellenic (remember, just an assumption) race spread the Hellenic culture and language?

     Do you agree that the Macedonians have more ties with Hellas than with a group of peoples that chose the name Macedonia for themselves based solely on the fact that they live in the broader geographical area of Macedonia?
