Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift soundtrack

There are only 2 posts about music releases at Releaselog, as I don’t specialize in music too much, but now it’s an ideal time to make another post. The reason is quite simple, one of the best music scene group, RNS, released soundtrack for another sequel of Fast and Furious, extra popular car racing & tuning serie. Tokyo Drift, which is the name of last movie, will be available on 16th June. This soundtrack is scheduled even 4 days after the openening night, but you can get it already now, with 2 weeks pre. I’ve already listened a part of it, but it’s not that hot as it may look, the songs are not exactly my taste, but they will probably fit well the movie (btw. the main character stared by Paul Walker from previous 2 movies is now replaced by another actor, Nick Barcelona).

The soundtrack to the third installment of The Fast and the Furious film franchise will be released on Tuesday June 20th, 2006, just four days after the film hits theaters. Like the soundtracks to the previous two The Fast and the Furious flicks, Tokyo Drift features a bevy of street savvy tunes from artists such as DJ Shadow, N.E.R.D., Don Omar, Atari Teenage Riot, and underground upstarts like Evil Nine and Japanese rap crew Teriyaki Boyz (who actually perform the title track).

    I saw Toyko drift and must say it was “BAD ASS”. From the ugly skinny cool dressed chicks to the sweet cars and the funky Japanese dance tunes were’nt bad at all. Those Japanese tunes are a cool change from the usual stuff here in the states. But, what is Vin Diesel doing appearing with a reggeaton song? He’s sappoused to be represented the U.S. is that not right? Reggeaton is originally from Puerto Rico. In any case I would see this movie again and again. Part 1 was all american. Part II went Miami heat latino style
    and Part III we went overseas how cool. They could done with out the stupid country dork though.

    the cameras and the effects were done very well except for some minor things. the plot was straight out of 80s movies 101. the sound track is pretty good. everyone who says it sucks prolly doesnt listen to anything BUT what MTV, VH1 and radio plays. or BET. whatever. you know the music fit the movie like a glove and that’s what it’s all about. the only think that didnt make sense is how could the main character go to school and still do all that stuff without failing or something. the rest is ify on plasuibility and im just gonna start a riot in here pointing them out. soooo yeah. for an LA shot movie (that i just saw this above), they pulled it off very nicely. the ending which im not gonna give away, after the “showdown” thing, the ending was a good way to finish the movie. acting was bad in parts but overall better than some jackie chan movie’s i’ve seen. and wasnt the one dude who got his ass kicked constantly in that movie with chris tucker and jackie chan (which is slipping my mind for some reason and that’s one of my favorite movies too! lol)? but wasnt he? he played the bad dude who ran like a completel fucktard while being chased after blowing up the building downtown? oh well. someone knows what im talking about i hope. and btw this is allll coming from someone who knows a lot about music and video editing and production. and yes i’ve dabbled in writing and some scripting. so i know what im talking about. just thought i’d clear that up. nice spark of interested you’ve started, Martin.

    there were at least 3 songs I heard in the film that AREN’T on the soundtrack that I am DIEING to find. I’m not sure if they would be on the score or not, and untill I figure that out, I don’t want to vomit the cash to buy it =/

    One of the songs played during the first minutes Sean was in the ‘Tokyo Underground’, seeing the drifting scene for the first time. It had that bubble gum Jpop-hop sound to it. Female vocalist(s).

    okay, i LOVED this movie! i thought that it wuz awesome! The beginning to me was sorta boring and i thought that there could have been more drifting in it, but all-in-all i thought it was great! if you love nice cars and racing then definently see it. And i also really liked the soundtrack, especially the japanese rap.. Tokyo Drift. i love the way it sounds.

    Does ayone know the track name where it’s played in the first carpark lot scene in Tokyo where all the chicks are dancing to it? I thought the movie was going to be ghey n lame but it’s actually pretty hectik n sik. The best in the instalments fo sho. I particularly like the bit where 5 cars are drifting down the mountain in the night with full moon, and the Yakuza clan involvement. After watching the movie, and heading 2 the carpark, all the rowdy boys n groups were doing burnouts n shit, I was listening 2 music drviing thru the city and it made me want to race and drift thru the city lolz….oh the influence…

    lol, badddd.. you come out of the movie and first thing you want to do is drift, luckily when i came out of the movie, there was an empty carpark ;)

    but yeah, i rarely goto the movies nowdays cause they can hardly make a decent movie, and with this movie, i’ve seen it TWICE, i’ve liked it that much..

    there are alot of people on here who like to talk the talk it seems especially Mr. …. he annoyed me with the comment that these cars aren’t fast, to that i saw your wrong becuase several of those cars can go extreemly fast the evo is a good example just at stock it can go 0-100 km/h in about 4.6 seconds so if it’s been moded with a bigger turbo it should be faster. just like alot of those cars i’m sure can match many of your muscle cars. i got the impresion you were a muscle car person. As to the rest of you who are heavily critising the movie i would like to point out three things 1. i have actually seen the movie so i have a valid opion unlike alot of you 2. the director for this movie was a different person again to the first two movies so you would expect the movie to be different from the first two and 3. this movie on the basis of point two should be judged on it’s own merits. so i say just go see it leaving you opions at the door and if you don’t like it then complain about it i guess but i’m a big fan of this one, it was nothing like the first two and does have a story line that the cars seem to be built around unlike the first two in which the opposite seemed to occure. it’s all about growing up and taking responsibility for your actions and also about the life style of those, who like me, love to drive. (whether it be muscle cars, which i like too, or highly tuned jap cars)

    ok…. i agree with movie critick… most u ppl don’t know what your talkin about … now he story has got a crazy plot .. but its not that bad and these cars ….would prolly smoke urs ..so dont talk shit if yea cant back it up…. most yea ppl havent prolly even beein in a real race n donno wat its even like … some advice get off ur computers and complaining about movies and go out in the real world and have fun.. i think the movie was pretty good and the drifting plot was something different and you cant go wrong with tryin something new ….i mean really whens the last times you tried drifting ….?

    dude what the fuk alrite the sound track has some fuken awsome music on it but dude some are so fuken bad well. the movie is shit in comparson to the first 2 and the second was shit in compaton to the 1st. the cars were shit the actors were shit exept for the lil suprise at the end. the main charitor is an unsmoth bad ass he was just a fuken inbread freak.

    Racist bitches huh.. No, but this movie does suck, horrible acting, worse screenplay. It has nothing to do with racism, I know for a fact there are good japanese actors. I know for a fact Bow Wow couldn’t act his way out of his lame ass rap career. The one reason anyone should find this movie even slightly appealing is because of the cars.     just saw the movie and to be honest i thought i was awesome, i figured it would suck but it ended up being really good….the soundtrack and the music in the film made it even better…possibly the best F&F film of the series so far…i liked the camo of van diesel at the end…really good movie… if u havent seen it,u should!

    For all those that think it was a RB26DET in the mustang.. it wasn’t it was the SRD20DET..and for the most part its a movie.. hollywood stuff.. take back to the first one he said you owe me a 10 sec car.. how is that.. the car he had was about a 14 to 15..and the only car in there that was close to a 10 sec car was the almighty Supra.. had to get that one of my chest.. now it was a good movie the acting was not horrible and the race clip were good but they were a lil far fected.. i am sure that there is a huge arguement running around on this post… lets bring it back the real life.. one you guys dont have the balls to drift.. two you dont have the cars and or the moeny to drift.. so you get a close look at drifting because it is awesome for 8 bucks and a 4 dollar Coke.. or you can spend 20 bucks and a plane ticket to LA to see real drift contests and smell the rubber and fumes and see the cars… oh and tokyo drift on a resee rating.. i give it a 4 out of 10… i will wait til it comes out on DVD to see it again..
