Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift soundtrack

There are only 2 posts about music releases at Releaselog, as I don’t specialize in music too much, but now it’s an ideal time to make another post. The reason is quite simple, one of the best music scene group, RNS, released soundtrack for another sequel of Fast and Furious, extra popular car racing & tuning serie. Tokyo Drift, which is the name of last movie, will be available on 16th June. This soundtrack is scheduled even 4 days after the openening night, but you can get it already now, with 2 weeks pre. I’ve already listened a part of it, but it’s not that hot as it may look, the songs are not exactly my taste, but they will probably fit well the movie (btw. the main character stared by Paul Walker from previous 2 movies is now replaced by another actor, Nick Barcelona).

The soundtrack to the third installment of The Fast and the Furious film franchise will be released on Tuesday June 20th, 2006, just four days after the film hits theaters. Like the soundtracks to the previous two The Fast and the Furious flicks, Tokyo Drift features a bevy of street savvy tunes from artists such as DJ Shadow, N.E.R.D., Don Omar, Atari Teenage Riot, and underground upstarts like Evil Nine and Japanese rap crew Teriyaki Boyz (who actually perform the title track).

    To all you ppl who are dissing Tokyo Drift–F[c]uk you!…well i can’t wait 2 watch the movie because its going to be the BEST MOVIE EVER about CARS and DRIFTING!!![and even if it’s shit it’s gotta be better than initial D] and MellowB…if you haven’t noticed the movie is set in Tokyo, so you would expect there would be a song in the movie that would be associated with Japan. If you want to listen to good music…listen to N.E.R.D–Rock Star, it’s in the movie trailer.

    Wow, this movie may be set in Tokyo, but guess what! It was made in LA! Jeez, none of these cars are anything special anyways. They’ve all been proven to perform even worse than their stock counterparts, wtf. And who the f*ck puts a RB26 in a ‘67 Fastback?

    You want to watch a real car movie, go watch some of the older movies, or hell, even the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds. The drifting in this movie in some parts looks so fake, it’s not even funny.

    You want real tuner cars? Then go look at what those guys build in their workshops, not these riced up cars. If I ever recieved one of these, I’d either sell it or actually make it fast.

    I’ll only watch this for some of the cars, and the girls.

    just got done seeing the movie and i must say it was way better than i expected. i “liked” the first f&f HATED the second but have to admit the 3rd is the best by far!!!! it was really good and i usually hate trilogies. it was funny, witty, and exciting and the sound track was actually really awesome.

    BTW, I agree with nrg. Hate the people the movie influences, cuz it’s actually pretty good. God, you’d think that all the warning signs in the movie are enough, but apparently not. Take a good look. “Professional drivers on closed courses!” It’s even in 30 second commercials, and this movie is almost two hour long! Fo shizzle!

    oh wow.. they put in a cameo of Vin Diesel so lil’ kids like you would go see it. This movie is doodoo. I found it hilarious that the first few days the teaser came out.. no Vin Diesel.. It had no hype.. it looked like shit, bad actors.. and then they put in a split sec clip of Diesel and people want to see it? 1st..     Alot of critics out there, its hilarious how people jump to conclusions and basically judge a book by its cover, you see, lets take Bow-Wow for instance, all these rappers hitting the movies these days they all try to be the big man, but bow wow was good in this film, he didnt try be the big man, i thought on a personal point of view, this film by far was the best release lately on the big screen, the film was well made and at times gave an adrenelin rush, as for the suprise at the end (i wont say incase people havent seen) there surely must be a fourth? Bring it on!

    - As far as this movie goes… I personally thought it was great. I expected it to suck like the second one… but I’ve watched Tokyo Drift multiple times now. I work at a theater and see movies all the time, so I am sure I would know which movies are good and whats not good.

    Jesus, some of the comments some of u made about this movie tells me u dont understand the drift scene let alone never set foot in a car that could ever even pull off a drift!!!…Like everyone bashing on Bow Wow talkin about his acting sucks obviously have never even been to a street race,there r people like that at car events and street races!!!..this movie does a good job explaining what drifting is for people who dont know and that idiot who said that half the cars in the movie was ricy, i know for a fact that the lowest hp driftcar would 4 sure out perform his ride!!!!     Okay, first off: Love for NERD and DJ Shadow! And also the fact that they put a couple of Japanese songs on the CD (even though they wouldn’t be my choice), is nice.

    But there were at least 3 songs I heard in the film that AREN’T on the soundtrack that I am DIEING to find. I’m not sure if they would be on the score or not, and untill I figure that out, I don’t want to vomit the cash to buy it =/

    One of the songs played during the first minutes Sean was in the ‘Tokyo Underground’, seeing the drifting scene for the first time. It had that bubble gum Jpop-hop sound to it. Female vocalist(s).

    yea another sick movie.
    saw the movie five times, and still cant get enough. the drifting scenes look sick, especialy the one where HAN does donuts around the GTR 33 with those two hot chikas in it, to be honest, this movie had way more “hot girls” then the two previous movies. DAMN realy hope they bring out a 4th part, with Vin and Brian.

    Fuck the movie so called, “The Fast and The Furious” part 1 and 2 plus 3… nah but part 3 was aite. First of all part 1 and 2 sucks because they have to much drag racing. Part 3 was aite because it had a lot of drifting in it. But really all I wanted to say is that fuck white people because they like to fuckin copy from us asians. Fuck white folks and their gay ass v8 10 sec race… plus fuck that sorrie ass fuckin fake shit movie gone in 60 seconds. White people cant make no good racing movies…

    I thought the movie itself was alright, I mean there were parts that could’ve been better but sometimes you have to just understand that a movie isn’t easy to make. You have to geather up a crew, set scens and write/review scrips. I don’t think anyone of you people ever went out to Tokyo Japan and actually took drifting classes. Those skills are skills that you must try inorder for oneself to learn, you just can’t go out into the mountains of Japan and become a drifter lols. And all the little boys and girls heere talking smack, just shut up please! Ya don’t knoe anything bout import cars, engines and real life drifting wise so STFU! v8 burning imports? ofcorse you dumb son of a bitch it’s four cyl bigger no duh

    i went into this movie, thinking, good looking cars, good looking women, drifting… and i gathered up a few of my fellow friends (well ‘rev heads’ as ppl might say) and went and saw the movie. and to all the ppl cracking it about the movie was ’shit’ and the actors are D-List or whatever, seriously, this movie, was obviously intended just to reach the ‘rev head’ audience and teens who love thier cars and women. if your not interested in cars and good looking asain (and aussie) women then get over it, it’s obviously not the movie for you then. i think that targeting the rev-head/teen audience was a smart move for the film makers, because i think more teens would get together and go to see the movie, than any adults. well anyway, good movie, “Lucas Black’s” accent was a little annoying at times, but if you guys actually checked IMDB, all the drifting was in fact REAL and not computer generated!!     but anyway, when i went in to watch the movie, i tripped out because i found there was like 5-6 songs which were either by N.E.R.D. or was produced by “The Neptunes” (which is Pharrell and Chad Hugo). But anyway, i came out of this movie with my friends, loving the movie and the songs :D
