who the hell is deciding to develop this software? I’m sure it’s decent, but with so many competitors, that obviously do their own jobs very well – what’s the point in creating a rival product that pales in comparison?

The reason is, that if you cant download stuff for free, then you have to pay. I would rather use the above software then pay £800 for Nuendo…
