A new game for all people loving the countryside was released during this night by an unknown group ZRY. It’s hard to take games like Farm Vet seriously - it’s a weird combination of The Sims and tycoon-themed titles, focusing on vet care of the farm animals. There’s zero protection and the whole game fits onto 1 CD. I wonder how can someone buy this for 20 bucks…

In Farm Vet, the player character is a young teenager who has taken a job on a farm run by the local veterinarian. The player is challenged with building a thriving, healthy farm and treating enough animal cases to become a full-fledged vet, through the tutelage of the owner and the player’s mentor.

Players are free to explore and move around the real-time 3D farm environment as they heal sick animals, play fun farm-themed mini-games such as milking, horseback riding and egg collecting, as well as playing with and providing overall care for the animals. As the player gains confidence and has a few cases under their belt, the world expands to include more locations and new mini-games. If each level is completed successfully, the player receives promotions and eventually assumes full control of the farm.

Game features:

  • A fully interactive real-time 3D world thrusts the player into the role of a farm veterinarian where animals are not only treated for ailments but also must be fed, played with, and cared for.
  • Detailed vet simulation - All medical cases have been written by real working vets from their own personal case files. Nurse all the animals back to health using your veterinary skills and tender loving care
  • Mission based - Players receive daily missions on their PDA. They walk/run to the correct location on the farm using the map for navigation.
  • Economy based - The farm starts out with only a few buildings and animals, but grows dramatically as the Player masters cases and tasks, thus increasing their global score
  • Fast-paced Mini-games - Fun, farm specific games such as collecting eggs, milking cows, horse training, and herding sheep are included.

    Uhhm… Ok I’m sorry, but if this game were any good you’d get more than chickens with a cough (i.e. dogs that needed stitching from fights, busted legs, castrations and other very overly gross operations - where you’d get to play surgeon)…

    However that would probably be abused in weird :-D ways but damn would that be an interesting game.

    why are so many people so against kiddie games like this? i’m pretty sure some parents would appreciate this kind of release. afterall, the scene doesn’t have ‘target’ downloaders (age-wise). they’re cr@ck!ng games for fun ya knows!!! :D
