An adaptation of the first-person-shooter video game where Jack Carver, a retired Special Forces Officer who now is transport for hire, by people and cargo. BestHD brings us the Bluray of Far Cry.
. In a mysterious nearby forest, a group of mercenaries are attacked. A scientist, Dr. Krieger, watches this from a secret research facility, obviously pleased with the results of his work, which is the cause of the death (which is unknown) of the mercenaries. In Seattle, a veteran newspaper editor makes arrangements to send his two arch-rival reporters, Tom Moore and Valerie Constantine, to check out the mysterious reports coming from an island in the Pacific Northwest. Once on the island, it doesn’t take long for the duo and their Captain, Jack Carver, to find trouble. The main mercenary commander Maria Sanchez immediately tries to capture them. Valerie and Jack manage to escape but Tom is killed. The mercenaries are hot on their heels and Valerie and Jack argue about their plan. Jack wants to get off the island as quickly as possible by reaching his friend Emilio

Strangely normal that most of the critics of this movie haven't actually watched it. Conformity even when disguised to appear non conformist is so sheep like.
Al; these people criticising Uwe Boll because everyone else says he is in bad taste, not cause they know, they prolly enjoyed the 300 or some other similar piece of equally overblown garbage, so they aren't exactly arbiters of good taste.
As someone who has actually watched Far Cry I am obliged to point out that this is no master piece but it rates OK in comparison to about 60% of the other crappy movies posted here and is better than about 95% of the dire TV shows the sheep here clamour for within seconds of them being played on cable.
But lets all hop onto Boll cause that's hip in sheep pens, probably to divert from the need to examine the real sh*t the sheep are hooked on.

As a big fan of the game I've watched the movie and it's for sure a crappy B-movie. Uwe Boll's worst idea was to resettle the tropical island adventure to a cold Canadian coast. I really wonder what he spent the 30 Mil$ budget for.
Though, Ralf Möller's acting performance as a mutant will give you some probably unintented laughs.

Great movie.. Definitely deserves 720p. The only reason why everyone hates this movie is becouse understanding the plot requires extraordinary intelligence.

at best, this could be a very well done student film but we all know thats not the case.
I've seen this and it is pretty much what youd expect from Uwe Boll.
Beer + weed + this = something out of this world.
the only one who was really acting in the whole movie was Til Schweiger. one of the Sergent's or majors. not sure what rank he was. but he is a British actor Craig Fairbrass. the guy who did the voice for Gaz in cod4. for sum reason they told him to use an American accent. if you watch the film you will notice one minute he has a British accent the next American accent and so on all tru the movie. how can a director who is any good miss something like that.its just one of many crappy mistakes in this film. When it ended i felt sorry because i am sure this could have been made into a really decent film

I've finished FC a few times, and i still play it SP and MP, cause it rocks. And i've also seen this movie, and it really is that bad. Jack Craven is German here, and i don't think it's because of Bolls roots, but because of Schweigers hard accent, some lines are hillarious when served by this guy. But then comes the uber-killing-Polish-chick-whatever who's even worse. And, yeah, i'm proud, i've survived this abomination, seen it to the last scene. Next time, i'll demand money for watching stuff like that. The rubber dog and the yellow-painted-zombie-wannabe-guy in Return of the Living Dead were more convincing, better acted in the don't-take-it-seriuously-b-movie way. Don't download, it's a waste of potential porn space.
You must understand that Uwe Boll's movies are tax writeoffs. They are intended to be as bad as possible so that people won't actually watch it.
One method of doing this is to betray fundamental story concepts. In Far Cry, the movie is moved to cold Canada rather than a tropical island. In Doom, he used the Resident Evil virus plot rather than the traditional Doom storyline (this is possibly his least worst movie, because, to be honest, Doom didn't really have any plot to betray). In the Dungeon Siege movie "In The Name Of The King", he ripped off the Lord Of The Rings plot.
to those saying we're trashing the movie without having seen it, I've seen it, and it's awful. And ignoring the fact it has nothing to do with the game, it's still awful. The camera is awful, the lighting is awful, the acting is awful, the script is awful, story makes no sense at points, slow motions even less, too many plot holes, amateur acting (even by actors that should know better), all those things that are wrong with every Uwe Boll release. Saying this one is a pretty decent action movie is saying all those 1980's-'90's Gary Daniels, Sasha Mitchell and Gary Daniels are pretty OK action movies, and they aren't since there are many great alternatives. There is a reason people trash Uwe, and this is a great example why

@47: Ya, i know how he gets money, and that he only pays a tax from the movies profits. But that wasn't the subject, it doesn't really matter. I believe in simple life logic: no matter what you do, do your best, and i've worked as a reviewer, a construction worker, and all kinds of jobs, and i at least tried to give my best at it. Uwe just does'nt care.
And Doom was NOT a Boll movie.;) And as to the Dungeon Siege ripping of Lord of the Rings, i always thought it rips of Power Rangers.;P
