RELOADED have got cracking (literally) and have released Fantasy Wars a turn-based strategy game. previously brought us by group PROCYON a couple of months ago Fantasy Wars includes three distinct campaigns, taking place over a series of tactical maps in the single-player (the part you should be interested in as multiplayer will not work). The game uses a custom 3D game engine and includes role-playing gameplay elements such as experience points and skills just to mix things up a bit. As usual for RELOADED this is fully cracked and comes on 1 DVD5 disc at 1.36 GB exactly.
Fantasy Wars is a turn-based strategy game set in a fantasy world. Combining both classic strategy gameplay and sophisticated 3D graphics players can experience epic battles like never before. Taking place in a fantasy world of Human kingdoms, Orc clans, Dwarfs’ citadels and Elven forests the player is thrust into a world of war and legend. Play the role of an Orc or Goblin boss, a captain of the Human army or lead the elite forces of the Elven army. Participate in castle sieges and village defense, assault and reconnaissance operations and swift raids. To be victorious remember that the amount and experience of troops is not always the key factor, organize cooperation between different types of units and use the landscape to achieve strategic superiority.
The game consists of three story-connected campaigns. In each of them players will have to gather an army, upgrade units, find magic artifacts and study magic spells. An epic story has been crafted to draw gamers in. The great Orc chieftain and conqueror Ugraum, incited by the cruel shamans, gathers a huge horde to invade the land of Humans. Only a small, but experienced army of general Pfeil is able to fight against the powerful enemy. However the sides in this confrontation don’t know that this is all just a part of evil plot of the dark powers.

It looks like a good game.. but is it really good?
I’m saying this, because I don’t want to download and don’t play it.
I like strategy games, however, lately all games that have been released didn’t fascinate me, and so, I didn’t even burn them into DVD.
To sum up, what I’m asking is your opinion about this.
first ask yourself do you like turn based strategy? according to reviews its mediocre score, id say 6-7 but for 1.3gig id say look for yourself, shouldnt take more than a few hours TOPS, usually 6gig files takes a few hours for me, its all about your isp speed obviously.

gamespot is the best place to answer question about how good the game is.
It’s a Turn Base Strategy game so if you are used to games like Heroes of Might and Magic, Ground Control, etc you gonna like it.
Actually I really really like this game. I have finished 2 campaigns out of 3 and it was a huge surprise to find a very interesting and compelling story with a fun game system. It might not be everyone’s taste, but it’s certainly mine.

i think this is the north american version so all of the langauges from the european version (procyon release i think) hvae been removed. that propably why its smaller.
Turn Based Strategy games are kinda ridiculous, I mean think about it, if you were in a fight in real life, would you stand in one place and have your opponent stand in another, then attack him while he stands there, then move back to your spot and stand there while he attacks you? Then continue this until someone falls? This is why I’ve never really gotten into this kind of game, even the FF series made me LOL.

… turn based is ridiculus when comparing to real life? Didn’t you read bout the old revolutionary wars.. where people would line up and fire at each other .. sort of like in turns lol..
Yeah and brits always let the other army fire first just because it was polite -_-
To those who complain about turn-based, in a sense turn based is more realistic, because in any given military situation many simultaneous orders are given and passed down the chain of command. That’s why operational-level wargames are always conducted in turns.

As has been pointed out, the complaint that some form of game is not sufficiently life like applies to ALL games.
You guys should remember that many people, like me, suffer RSI or similar problems. For some of us, turn-based is essential for painless gaming.
Turnbased combat is best in bed

Been playing this for a day now. Lots of fun! It has surprising depth considering that it’s a turn-based strategy game.
Don’t be fooled by the screen shots: if you enjoy turn-based strategy mixed with troop customization in a fantasy setting then you will enjoy this.
Like it so much I’m thinkin’ of buying it….when I go and purchase the Witcher, Crysis, Hellgate…..*sighs* I’m going to be so pennyless for the next couple of months….

Well buddy let me tell you,
1) France did invade germany a long time ago and did win.
2) USA would NEVER have won their independance without the French army reinforcing their rebellion…
3) The “French Resistence” WAS the strongest resistence of all time… never such a strong will to resistence had never been seen of the face of the earth.
4) I’m Canadian, and “(for those who think i lie, do some research!!!!)” Canadian troops have always been knowed to be “Elite” troop that had the job done where other failed.
We the Canadian did liberate france but with VITAL HELP FROM THE RESISTENCE. Without the French Resistence… i’m quite sure that germany could have won the war… well not really due to Hitler betrayal on Soviet Army, but surely the war would have lasted few years more…. killing how many more innocent people ? i ask you.
