Fantastic Four Rise Of The Silver Surfer 2007 DVDRip XviD-FLAiTE

Well, this was more than active night. After days of STV horrors and similar crap comes a day with two major dvdrips and next two great games. Fantastic Four 2: Rise Of The Silver Surfer is the second real dvdrip after Spiderman 3, also released by group FLAiTE. Although the movie was a small letdown for me, it still has a lot to offer. The dvdrip comes with English and Spanish subtitles, so you can really enjoy the movie now.

With Von Doom back in his homeland of Latveria the fantastic four have new troubles when Galactus has decided that Earth is his next target. When his henchman, The Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd), is sent to Earth he discovers that he’s getting more than he bargained for when he encounters the Fantastic Four. But that’s not all when Dr. Doom decides that after two years in the homeland he is ready to return.

The R5 version of this was perfectly acceptable, so won’t bother with this one. I’d say the movie was a slight improvement on the first one but still nowhere near as good as it could have been with a director with some real vision instead of that asshole Tim Story, who seems to have wasted two opportunities now.

Jerking off looking @ Jessica is the highest this movie will reach. Not worth the bandwidht.
Then again, I never really liked the comic either…

Get sum jessica alba fakes or sum sht LOL!… Nah she is hot… Nude scene… Mmmm…

Yeh very … Bad movie for the amount of money that created it… Stupid really.
Oh well I found it entertaining, so I guess it served its purpose, but I didn’t go bragging to people and recommending it either… (R5)

Saw it in theather, very nice if you like the comic book heroes stuff.

There’s a nice 20min extended version of the first movie out on dvd btw, which makes the first movie a lot better. I hope they will do something like that with the sequal too.

Some Marvels films are a mess due to the people in charge trying to be clever and change stuff to “make it better”.

This is no exception – Its an ok watch especially when you almost think its going somewhere …then it doesnt….and its over.

    blah

@Tha Shizzle: Why not download it? It only takes a few minutes and it doesn’t cost you anything at all. Are people still having bandwith restrictions or what’s the deal with all these similar comments from different people? If you have restrictions, I’m sorry. Didn’t mean to bash anyone.

On topic: Is this movie any good? I never got around to watch the R5. The first movie was ok though.

@k: Yeah, AC3 would be nice but probably not worth the decrease in quality that would result in if kept as 1 CD. :(

Crappy movie. Dunno why any group still releases 1CD rips of movies. 2CDs with 5.1 AC3 should be standard.

nice visual effects in da movie..but they could have spent more on developing a better storyline and made the characters more interesting..
i love the comic books..but da movie turned out to be really SHALLOW…..

    General question… seriously,
Does anyone know why those scene people like to RAR their videos into 15MB parts?
I don’t think it would save much disk space or bandwidth.
And all p2p protocols already have their own chunking system.
So I can’t figure out why the RAR parts?
    I’m sure there’s a good reason.

  25. August 25th, 2007 | 22:05

because if a file is corrupted you can just download that file again instead of the whole thing..saves bandwidth and time.

  26. asd
    August 25th, 2007 | 23:15

Doesn’t BT have per-chunk checksum like eMule?
If so, then videos could be seeded as monolithic .avi, the p2p protocol handles the chunking and if any chunk is tested to be bad, it is re-downloaded.
    BT doesn’t already do that?

i had R5 still laying in hdd unwatched,
now got this and compared identical frames,
howcome R5 is noticably better/sharper image quality ?

  30. August 26th, 2007 | 07:33

The ignorance of the people bitching about 700mb dvd rips still dumbfounds me. If you don’t want a 700mb rip then don’t fucking download it and find another source. We’d rather not have you around acting like a retard because of what you think in your own little world is a better “standard”.

    That is all.

    > “because scene files arnt build for p2p n00bs… er networks ;)
Ah. That makes sense. If scene files are meant for FTP and such.
But the people who leak the movies onto p2p… would be nice if they put on the monolithic .avi’s

    @30 – Nice one hikaricore.
Couldn’t agree more. Democracy is about choice, and choice is what you have if you want to watch movies and so forth. You can DL the 700MB, or find the 1400MB; you can DL the sample and check audio/video info with gspot, virtualdub or avidemux; you can also not DL and buy/rent the DVD; you can rent the DVD for 6 hours at 1€50, rip it, return the DVD, then encode to AVI any which way you like, exactly to what you want (if you’re prepared to wait for the retail DVD to appear in your part of the world… that’s your choice)… oh, you don’t know how to do that? So it’s your choice not to learn, right?
Everyone has their opinion about hard disk space, bandwidth, codecs and how best to use them depending on length of movie, degree of fast action movement, total number of colors in the movie (yes, a Matrix movie rip will always look pretty good relatively speaking, thanks to the green tint that effectively reduces number of colors to a fraction of the 16million that your computer can reproduce, so your codec doesn’t sweat so much)… but they’re just opinions. I have mine, you have yours… that’s democracy… IMHO ;-)
