Small post about the new Family Guy Christmas DVD. Anyone who knows what Family Guy is knows what to expect. For all you people who haven’t seen any TV ever since they were born, Family Guy is often called the Simpsons rip-off. The opposite is true! It does have a family of five doing all sorts of stupid things but it also takes a lot of modern problems into the show and they always find a way to make it all look very funny. Stewie, the baby, is the best character of the show because this baby talks like a genius and is always trying to kill someone or screw things up for the rest of the family. You WILL laugh at least twice every episode.

Yeah, it’s fine to say that you like FG better than the Simpsons if you want, but to say that they haven’t ripped off the Simpsons, and to go so far as to say “the opposite is true”, implying that somehow a show that had been around for at least a decade before FG came on the air somehow magically ripped them off from the future is pretty much the stupidest thing I’ve ever read here…and there’s been a lot of stupid assertions made. Use your brain.
Actually; he could have meant the opposite of a rip off, as in NOT a rip off, not the opposite of Family Guy ripping off The Simpsons. The English language is so retarded sometimes…

simpsons do this all the time, re-release old episodes in packages like “Halloween” or something…

American Dad seemed so retarded. I only watched first 3 episodes of 1st season, is it really worth giving another try?
Family guy is funny, but not even in the same league as the simpsons, and that’s because it’s a generation behind it.

Next family guy episode you watch remember this, 90% of the jokes per episode are cut and paste from other episodes that weren’t aird. The show has officially admitted to that.
Still funny as hell most of the time, but it’s like comparing Voltron to Powe RAngers
I have to agree with phishybongwaters, so many shows/films/books can be compared to others but they just aren’t because they are different. Simpsons and Family Guy have very different humour and I love them both. I did like American Dad but to say it is better than Family Guy is pushing it a tad!
And yes, Futurama rocks. Glad they are making more.
