With the releases not coming all that quickly today, what better way to fill the time than with this XBOX360 release from RUiNS? It was nuked for being stolen from p2p, but that fact has no effect on how the game plays, so enjoy. Note: This is not region-free, so if you’re not playing on a US 360, you’re out of luck.

Guys, this is just a repack of the seed4me release from about 2 days ago and it IS region free CONFIRMED. Its a review copy.
It’s been out for 3 days (the P2P release) and it also works on PAL systems.
NTSC-U and PAL.
bethesda clealry stated they have not even started making discs yet this is a review disc not the final build i would wait for the finished complete copy
I somehow doubt that it will have the feel of old fallout in 3D, I can only hope they worked as much on story and free choice enviroment as they worked on engine and models…

Yeah, this is a Seed4Me repack (which, by the way, is a perfect rip, so this one is all good too), and it will play for any system save PAL-J (sorry Asian rlslog-goers).

I downloaded this game a few days ago when it was originally released and can confirm it works on my PAL xbox.
Xbox live works but it is best to have the cable unplugged while playing.
after around 30 hours of playing i can see no major bugs at all. The game is amazing. A must have and i will be buying as soon as it is released, games like these dont come around often..
Talk about PC version piracy :)). Some companies delay the PC version of a multi-platform title to “avoid” piracy. And yeah in their opinion X-BOX is a console… :)) Idiots…
How is the game rpg-wise? Is it a Fallout fail or good sequel to the original series?
As on all videos we only saw some shooting galore etc I wonder if this game has a soul (not that common on bethesda games).

most 360s don’t need a modchip. they just need the dvd drive flashed, which you can do by hooking up the DVD drive to your PC though a SATA port. It’s not hard.

been playing it for the last couple of days on a PAL360.
all i can say is its just “Oblivion” with a new skin, desolate rocks and ruined roads instead of grassy fields, and either FPS shooting or a paused ACTION POINTS system where you target bits of your enemy then watch in bullet time as the shots get let off..
Beyond that, EVERYTHING else is the same as oblivion, even down to the mini dungeons for “quests” and creating your own custom weapons…
Mass Effect looked great but I found it boring. I quit playing it once I reached the sentential and you had to run chores for people.
I hope this is more entertaining.

The game I’m looking forward to the most is Tekken 6 unfortunately its not coming out on the PC.

Man, I can’t wait to play this on my PC! I’m a big fan of Fallout 1 & 2, and was hoping for a 3D version. I hope they pulled it off, and kept the atmosphere of the first two games. The turn-based gameplay I can do without, that’s SO ’80s anyway.
And yeah, I will download and play before I buy it. If it doesn’t meet my expectations, I won’t shell out 60 euros for it. If it DOES, I will gladly pay for it.
@36: I agree, Mass Effect was quite boring. A typical console ‘RPG’. I did complete it though, but it has no replay value for me.

I’m not to impressed with the visuals to fallout 3. Alot of peeps say its oblivion in the future..and it shows. With more and more 3d engines supporting global environment shadows, oblivions lack of really shows. Also not sure if its an xbox only thing, but the textures on many objects are fairly low resolution.
Most Xboxes sold new since about April 08 cannot be modded easily and certainly not just by ‘flashing’ the rom. M$ has finally woken up to reality and begun installing xbox specific dvdroms which don’t have a normal read only memory with firmware that can be flashed.
However if one is prepared to work hard it it and get the neccessary hardware it is possible to read the unique identifying number that the dvdrom sends to the cpu at boot.
Then install a samsung dvdrom spoofed to act like the new liteon, although that takes a little bit of soldering. At the moment a rig modded that way can still access xbox live although that may not last. This mod is about 3 times more exsendive to have done than the earlier mods.
peeps should also be aware that xbox’s sent in for repair will have the lieon dvdromm installed even if there is nothing wrong with the old dvdrom.

It’s a decent fun game tho.
I hate piracy when it comes to games that I really feel for, I’m with Bethesda on this one, that’s for sure.
Is this the full working version of the game?
It is a version for preview-testers, so most propably not the final one as there was no gold-master as the guy (which Bethesda tries to snif out atm) copied that disc.
So this version is essentially the same as the version that will be released?
My experience:
This is the same as the retail. It has all the voices, all the action, all the areas (atleast for now). I’ve played this release 3-4 days now, since the first p2p-release.
Download it, and play it. I guess the save-games will work with the original, when it comes out.
I will be purchasing this when it comes out, I fully support the Fallout franchise no matter what iteration it is.

So many jackhole kids on the internet are automatically negative on any game no matter how spectacular it is, that I will never listen to anyone when they say a game isn’t that good.

Ill wait for the retail to be out and buy it, this game looks brilliant, probably get it for 360, unless it has a nice competitive multiplayer, then for the pc.

The big question is can we turn off slow mo? It would get boring soon if every death is in slow motion.
I have no problem with this being similar to Oblivion. I loved that game and having a post-apocalyptic version of it just tickles me.
it has been Nuked as stolen.from.p2p_review.copy. It was send for multiplication 3 days ago, so there is no way it is a retail version. This game will not have multiplayer.

Cant seem to find Vault 112? Can someone help out? STUCK.
couldnt find vault 112 either for a long time, searched on game and internet and still couldnt… until i realized i could make Scientific Pursuits the active quest on my pipboy and it would show the location on the world map… wasted about 1 hour searching when it was so simple… in the end its west of EverGreen Mills, the access in on the basement of a place called Smith Caseys Garage.. hope that helps
