FANiSO released this newest expansion for Fallout 3 game. You need main game to be installed to make this addon/expansion to work. Read more instructions from NFO.

Description: A strange Alien signal is being broadcast throughout the Capital Wasteland, originating from a crashed UFO. Is it a distress call, or something far more sinister? That question is answered when you find yourself beamed aboard an enormous Alien spacecraft, with only one alternative – to fight your way to the bridge of the ship and secure your escape. Mothership Zeta takes Fallout 3 in an entirely new direction – outer space. Meet new characters and join with them in a desperate bid to escape the Aliens’ clutches. To do so, you’ll wield powerful new weapons, like the Alien Atomizer, Alien Disintegrator and Drone Cannon, and deck yourself out in brand new outfits, like the Gemini-Era Spacesuit and even Samurai Armor.

    Can this be played on laptop?
    System: Windows XP, SP 2, Intel(r) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU T5270 @ 1.40GHz, 0.99 GB of RAM.

    I don't understand this, I am a girl and I just got a laptop, but I love this kind of games, so please answer, Person Who Understands This Stuff. :D D

    Fallout in space is just not fallout, must be post-apocalyptic… they are killing the fallout series now and that makes dot a sad boy :(

    You can't play this game if your laptop don't have VGA card.

    This DLC is the best of them all.

    Give it a try and maybe you like it too.
    BUT take your time don't rush through it. (you WILL miss a lot of funny scenes and lore fe. the audiofiles from other peoples the aliens captured)

    @dot: Fallout in space IS still Fallout cuz it feels like Fallout.

    PS: I loved FO 1 & 2 and i love FO 3.

    This DLC is the worst of all. It's just a plain boring ultra linear shooter with slow motion activated all the time. No sidequest and even more no quest at ALL, no free roaming, no story, the special characters are just here for armor&guns (yeah go kill'em) and the show is pathetic. Unless you are a big fan of the little greens or very boring shooter, i doubt you can like it.

    I 2nd the boring comment 16

    It's worse than anchorage. It's so boring it basically got no story at all, no setup to the whole thing (anchorage at least had that), no real point to exploring. All you do was repeatedly kill a few 50s style green martians in narrow and winding corridors.

    It was SO boring while I played I kept wanting it to just end. Anchorage is linear but at least it was pretty cool before and after the linear part. This, this has nothing going for it. They even made outer space boring, the view of the Earth is obscured.

    The only cool thing about it is the fact that Earth somehow has a big patch of glow on it the color of the glowing ones and the size of Europe. I just told you so save yourselves the time.

    I loved the other DLCs, especially Broken Steel, but this one is just terrible. The idea is very clever, but the execution poor. It's basically a linear shooter with the same boring enemies over and over. The new weapons suck, the Fallout atmosphere is not present, and the ending is very anti-climatic.

    Still, Fallout 3 rules. People who are still moping and whining about "it's not Fallout 1 & 2" should go and search for a time machine (or die trying).

    This is pretty disappointing, especially for what is essentially a finale. But then, I never expected any big bosses since that doesn't seem to be the Fallout way od doing things. Only in Anchorage was there anything like a boss.

    The aliens were so weak it wasn't even funny.

    are we required to install the previous patches (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6) before installing patch 1.7?
    or does the 1.7 patch include all previous fixes and allows us to play all DLCs?

    patch 1.7 should work, i have the reloaded release and have been updating FO3 with every new patch that has come out and I haven't applied a crack after any updates

    unlike mothership zeta you have to manually insert the BSA and ESM files into your fallout 3 data file directory. C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data

    for broken steel you also have BIK files and they go into your video file inside of your fallout 3 data file. C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Fallout 3\Data\Video

    hope this helps (let me know if even this doesn't work)
