FairUse Wizard v2.9-DVT

FairUse is another DVDFab, which hasn’t been released in a while…It’s nothing special really. I don’t know if this is the Full Edition or not, DVT didn’t state it in the NFO, expect that its only for scene members. But we have it so there you go…

  • Easily create movies that will play on your standalone player with the DivX and XviD codecs
  • Use cutting edge technology with new codecs like the well-known H264, XviD, or the ffVFW codec suite.
  • Store several movies on a single DVD
  • Protect your expensive DVD collection by letting the children use a backup copy while the original discs stay in a safe place
  • Encode tens of episodes of your favourite shows in only a few mouse click
  • Let the wizard be your guide at every step of the conversion process.
  • Encode up to two audio tracks so you can chose between original and dubbed version at playback (maximum number of audio track may vary depending on the selected encoding profile)
  • Preview subtitles on the preview screen during the encoding setup

If you do xvid encoding from DVD sources, and you don’t like this, you seriously need your head examined. Great software…gives better results than AutoGK.

The way the description reads it appears that you could take a couple of 700 MB divx encoded movies and burn them all to a DVDR and play them on a regular DVD player. Is that what this software does? That seems hard to believe.

If I could put 4 divx/xvid movies on one DVDR and play it I might use this. Has anyone used it in this manner?

    @Linsey

If your DVD player can play avi files encoded with divx/xvid (most modern ones can, so long as they aint dirt cheap) then yes.

The poster obviously knows nothing about this software, and possibly much more as it’s probably the best software for encoding DVD to AVI.. except you have to have a brain to use it. This app is used to encode most the AVI’s that appear on this site. Also says above “expect that its only for scene members. But we have it so there you go…” when it blatently says in the nfo “Released on 10/21/08 for exclusive usage by members of the release scene.” Oh and last thing Kennii, why would DVT release it if it wasn’t the “Full Edition”.

@radioplayme – Last edition of this soft was v2.8.

If you can rip a movie in more than 700 MB then this is the full version , the lite version will not let you rip movies to more than 700 MB

I have my doubts that all the rips on this site are made with Fair Use
Auto GK is still pretty good, And DVDFab 5 does a great job
Except for no VBR, But most people now use AC3 1.4 gig files anyway
But if your smart enough you can use TmpegXpress and load your own custom matrixes into Xvid.
Because I’m pretty sure none of the sceeners will be giving any secrets away when it comes to encoding a DVD to Xvid.
Good luck with what ever program you choose.
