Facing The Giants 2006 DVDRip XviD-NeDiVx

The second movie that NeDiVx released this night is “Facing the Giants”. Same story as always with this football “rugby” movies. I just have to mention the good score that it has on IMDB, 545 10’s from 833 votes. I suppose that they found this movie better than “Little Man”. From the trailer I could see that this is a low-budget movie with unknown actors. I think I’ll pass this one.

From the award winning producers of FLYWHEEL, comes an action-packed drama about a Christian high school football coach who uses his undying faith to battle the giants of fear and failure. In six years of coaching, Grant Taylor has never led his Shiloh Eagles to a winning season. After learning that he and his wife Brooke face infertility, Grant discovers that a group of fathers are secretly organizing to have him dismissed as head coach. Devastated by his circumstances, he cries out to God in desperation. When Grant receives a message from an unexpected visitor, he searches for a stronger purpose for his football team. He dares to challenge his players to believe God for the impossible on and off the field. When faced with unbelievable odds, the Eagles must step up to their greatest test of strength and courage. What transpires is a dynamic story of the fight between faith and fear. Facing the Giants is a powerful experience for the whole family inspiring viewers to live with faith, hope, and love!

I wonder, can you trust the ratings on IMDB? Aren’t people giving the movies 10 just to increase the interest?

don’t wonder, you can’t trust it. or else this movie, statistically speaking, is better than the #1 rated imdb movie. best kept secret, evar.

    lol @ calling it football..

I didn’t watch the movie and I won’t. I’m sick of this type of movies (sport) the team is about to lose and then he wins at the very last chance.. hmmm!! everything happens is expected in these movies.

“Same story as always with this football “rugby” movies.”

Don’t mistake american football with rugby, please. It’s a totally different game. Just like association football (with the round ball also known as soccer) and rugby.

The term football is more like a family name. It’s not the name of one game, just because you live in a country where “soccer” is known as football.

You can be sure that everyone of the “10″ rating voters on IMDB are religious freaks.

While it is widely believed that the word “football” (or “foot ball”) originated in reference to the action of a foot kicking a ball, there is a rival explanation, which has it that football originally referred to a variety of games in medieval Europe, which were played on foot. These games were usually played by peasants, as opposed to the horse-riding sports often played by aristocrats.
