Fabolous - From Nothin’ To Somethin’ (2007)
It’s time to have another rap album on here, this one is from Fabolous with his new album coming out soon “From Nothin’ to Something’. This will be his fouth studio album which is due to be released on the 12th of June. The album has alot of featured artists such as Akon, Rihanna, Ne-Yo, T-Pain etc. the dude has worked with alot of big artists in the urban music game with big producers such as Timbaland, Akon, JD, Just Blaze (I hate this “producer”, the guy samples old school music for new and current waste artists). Anyway i enjoyed fabolous’ previous album “Real Talk” i hope it will be good, but judging from the featured artists it may just seem like any other rap/hiphop album but i may be wrong.
From Nothin’ to Somethin” is Fabolous’ fourth studio album, to be released on June 12, 2007. Def Jam has confirmed that the first single from the album will be “Diamonds”, featuring Young Jeezy. The song has already started playing on local radio stations. The second single is set to be “Return of the Hustle”, featuring Swizz Beatz).
Def Jam has pushed back the release date five times, starting with December 19 to February 27, then to March 23, then to April 17, next to May 18, and finally to June 12 (as listed on the Def Jam Records website). XXL ranked From Nothin’ to Somethin’ the eighth most anticipated album of 2007.

Despite a three-year gap since his last album, Real Talk, the Brooklyn emcee has appeared on sporadic projects, including recordings by DJ Clue, Christina Milian, and Syleena Johnson.Fabolous has shot videos for “Return of the Hustle” with Swizz Beatz, “Diamonds” with Young Jeezy, and “Make Me Better” with Ne-Yo. As of May 31, 2007, the album has been leaked to the internet.
John David Jackson (born November 18, 1979 [1]), better known as Fabolous, is a Grammy-nominated rapper of African-American and Dominican descent from Brooklyn who became a mainstream star after his debut single “Can’t Deny It” (a remake of Tupac Shakur’s “Ambitionz Az a Ridah” from All Eyez on Me) from 2001 (see 2001 in music). Since then, he has had several additional successful releases.

A good album and that only after the first listen.I,too, liked his previous album.
Just listened through and it is garbage.
I really wish they would find something more to “rap” about other than the shit they don’t have in the first place.
Thank God for rap and sports otherwise what’s a dumb nigga to do?
Wow, and i thought 50 cent was horrible… Way to show me worse is out there.
ahhh the internet…. one of the few place that ignorant racists can voice their retarded views… anyway very sweet album. some sweet tracks! I’m the man is my favorite so far
I’d be willing to give his album a try if the cover art wasn’t such a tired cliché.
I’d be willing to give his album a try if the cover art wasn’t such a black rap cliché.
Good album, subpar release from RGF.
Wait for the OSC torrent.
are u saying this album is shit coz u hate rap or do u like rap and its shit??? coz fabolus’s other albums were good
I just want some rap about something more than death hoes money and bitches. they never killed no one; they only BOUGHT hoes; they will eventually lose all their money and bitches dont generally like them unless they want their money; i. e. “I aint sayin’ she a gold-diggah, but she aint messin with no broke nigga”. That was a good song; had meaning. This crap aint got no meaning in it. Just some random fool talking shit. The “black rap cliche” has to end.
Leave it to black people to misspell the word Fabulous.
LOL what stupid nigger shit, people actually listen to this crap?
It is good to always have a full spectrum of lyricists in rap ranging from materialistic gangsterism (50 cent/Fabolous) to thought provoking and revolutionary rhymes (KRS-One, Immortal Technique) because it gives fans of hiphop the opportunity to choose to listen to either depending on their mood and preferences, variety of choice is definitely beneficial to all genres of music.
On the other hand racism is the antitheses of variety because it narrows your mind down to one deluded paradigm either based on ignorant stereotypes or fear based memes which are usually transferred to you by the illogical hate and insecurities of others that you respect enough to believe their opinion (typically family).
So… wtf is going on here? Do any of you damn retards spouting your racist shit actually have anything useful to say? If you don’t like rap you don’t like rap, no need for you rant about nigger this, nigger that. I think its funny that if a black guy even walks in your path you cower like a bitch but everyone’s a badass once they’re hiding behind a computer screen. What you need to do is go do some research about where the common roots of today’s mainstream genres of music (including rock and country). It’s hilarious to see a bunch of morons talking like they know something, especially those who consider incoherent screams to be “music”. Seriously white people are some of the most ignorant, you really have no room to talk about anyone else. I guess that’s what happens when you give 13 year olds access to the internet…
eman, painting “white people” with such broad strokes as to say that they are the most ignorant is hypocritical to the point that I think you are trying to convey regarding people stereotyping others based on their race.
People are ignorant
People are brilliant
People are violent
People are peaceful
Understanding this concept is fundamental to a persons ego generating the core belief that all races are equal which in turn balances out the internal battle people have with experiential fear or hate based emotions directed towards specific races.
why the fuck are albums like this even featured on here?
This is total garbage
i´m no racist, and this album is pure garbage, its just cliché here cliché there, cliché about money, cliché about _bitches_, cliché about drug abuse, cliché about crime .. wow brilliant
btw there is rap/hip hop i like, don´t care about skin color of the artist tho
this boy is pure genius. great lyricist. a regular hip hop Bob Dylon.
When people don’t like this type of music, they are racists?
I don’t get it. Sorry, but as people have said, this is pure garbage
Keep the music post coming though A.J. You are doing a great job.
this album is shit but fuck all u racists on here.. dont post anything if u got that kinda shit to say stupid computer nerds go play war craft 3 and wank to gay porn.
yep i agree just because someone doesnt like rap doesnt mean they are racist but some people have taken it there though…
overall the album doesnt have a week lasting of play time for me firs t of all he is swagger jacking most artist *make me better he swagger jacked kanye west* he even swagger jacked beyonce….
he is a good rapper but he never shows it alot when fabolous did “Breath” that was the Fabolous i wanted to hear…
also i like Just Blaze because he goes over dramatic with the drums on almost every song he produced
Fuck rap, rap isnt even music. its missing some components of music like an uhh INSTRUMENT all this shit is, is badly done computer generated noise and some guy talking
the lyrics suck to
its just repeated bs over and over and over thats complete bs
GIVE IT A POINT MAN
anyone who likes rap
go get gang fucked by emu’s
Chill out mate, there’s no need for this
my ears!!! they bleeeed!
nice CD, i was listening to this yesterday
Don’t be mad hating, cause someone who is making hes dream into reality, while you people are just criticizing him, on what, you could never do better or else you wouldn’t hate.
Whats with all the racist comments? Nice to know RSLOG.net is doing something about this or not?
I’m with,
4, 5, 6, 9, 13, 14, 15.
But mostly 19, 20, 22, 25
23 is stupid, go back to your CB radios mullet head
I’m a huge hip hop fan and I’m white. If you think hip hop is easy I dare anybody, white or black to make a complete song (beat included) and post it on the internet. It’s not as easy as it seems. I’ve been trying to make beats for a while now and still have not completed one song. And as far as the lyrics not being good, fabolous is a pure poetic genius. I just wish this album wasn’t so watered down with r&b and guest appearances. For people interested in conscious hip hop go listen to Saigon. That boy is serious. The racism has to stop, skin color is no different than hair or eye color. If you don’t like to listen to hip hop then don’t but leave the rest of us alone. We don’t go into country posts and make fun of Toby Keith. So keep your opinion to yourself unless it’s an open minded and intelligent one. Both of those words have nothing to do with racism.
To all the dumb fucks who accused my of being racist, it’s clear you don’t know the difference between “nigga” and “nigger”……fucking retards…..
Don’t accuse me of being racist. If it looks like a monkey, jumps around like a monkey, humps any pussy in reach just like a monkey, and has half a brain just like a monkey, it must be a monkey or what we call a FUCKIN NO GOOD GANSTA WANNA BE PIECE OF SHIT NIGGER.
ye nigga is like what a black dude calls his homies n Nigger is a jeer like a stupid racist remark
Haha these comments are pretty funny. Comment 25 is pretty wrong considering rap is music and also there are rap groups that do include instruments in there music such as “The Roots.” Also comment 33 is pretty wrong as well, considering all humans basically act like monkeys and some people from all races even look like monkeys. This goes to show how ignorant society is even today, considering there are a lot of people apparently who have not evolved much from the slavery age 142 years ago.
Also it is true that a lot of rap/hip-hop does talk about the same thing, but this is true about every genre. For example most current country is about trucks or southern girls or something of that nature. Another example are all the young indie rock groups emerging nowadays. If you look at these groups, they all basically look the same and they all sound the same as well. It is impossible to make music without using the same theme or sound of another group, because of the fact there are so many musical groups.
Yo those crackers r fuked up these days, lol in the old time white ppl used to be all big and shit and now they can suk my dick. Im not black nor white. I got to say hip/hop is wway better than heavy metal or rock and roll hahahha. White ppl, without money u guys r useless mothafuka.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Rock on DUDE!!!!!!!!!
Wow.
Don’t be nuts.
