EZTV Going trough DNS issues, new domain name
EZTV is a popular scene-torrent propagation hub where users can visit the site, download torrents and discuss TV releases. Recently the eztvefnet.org domain has been encountering problems with its DNS. The official press release details that the problem stemmed from “misunderstandings during the transfers of domains relating to EZTV”. Users are advised to use the alternate domains EZTV.nl and EZTV.it.

many people believe eztv is like a totally selfless charitable org. and many people believe in the easter bunny.
check out slyck, where recent article reveals these guys pull down up to $50k a week [torrent sites with ads in general].
ah, but eztv does NOT have ads! duh, they link directly to [only] two torrent sites [one owned by them, the other pays kickbacks] both of which have aggressive popups and porn ads.
so, don’t get too carried away with how ‘wonderful’ they are
yes, and they also have rude and arrogant torrent nazis as admins.
whenever someone disagrees with a comment made by an admin they are told to ’shut up’ or they will be banned
when one poster complained that admins were flaming and trolling themselves, the admin wrote ‘admins can say and do whatever they want’
of course, as on any site this nazi banning of people is stupid, because all you have to do is register again from another ip or use a proxy. so it is all just ‘attitude’

I would like to point out that we (eztv) do no own bt-chat nor mininova, nor get any revenue from them. Sure we are nazi’s on our own site, and we have every right to be, it’s our site.
So what if EZTV guys make a few bucks from pop-up ads, or whatever. They’re on the front line, helping a lot of people get shows they would not normally get, so they should be entitled to some kind of reward.

If the admins at EZTV continue to give you a hard time, just threaten to tell the MPAA and the FBI about what goes on at their site and that you will allow your account to be used for investigations and you will testify against them.
That usually shuts them up.

That is the must stupid thing I have ever heard. Give the MPAA or FBI your login, they will see the exact same information as if they browsed the site without logging in. An account on our site simply allows you to make posts on the forums.

see at top of comments here, rlslog allows us to post Rapidshare or ‘whatever’ here.
if you read the rules at eztv, posting a Rapidshare link or ANY OTHER LINK to anything but the official torrents they sponsor at mininova or their other site will get you banned immediately
so, if they are not profiting why would they want to force you to download at only ONE site??

We do not allow rapid share for 2 reasons
1) rapid share is not torrents
2) we were hating all the annoying rapid share url spams.
I would like to officially state that we have no financial backing from either bt-chat or mininova. We are actually about to officially start releasing our torrent to the following index sites:

If we were actually getting money from any of our mirror sites, we would be spending it on things for eztv. As you all know when a big show airs, our server dies from overload, cause we only have with 1 server. (unlike mininova and tpb which have like 23816234 servers at their disposal!)
I wish you guys did some form of research before you start to insult us. We have been providing TV shows for the public for over 2 years, and this is the repayment we get in return.
Oh, also. the reason why we don’t allow people to post torrents on other sites besides the one we list is mainly due to fake torrents, in the early years people used to post links to fake torrents. So for us it was much easier to just ban people from doing it.
i am not a big fan of rapidshare either, though i have tried it here —-free—and wow is it fast.
i gather novaking is a big cheese at eztvefnet?
what i wonder is IF it is true that eztv is composed of such wonderful NON PROFIT lovey jesus types who do it all for us, how come they are so potty mouth and aggressive and nazi-like in their forums with posters who in many cases merely ask a question??

brig: Let’s hope within the next year or two the broadcasting companies create a way to distribute shows to fans on-demand (without DRM, etc etc) otherwise even if we do get shut down, I’m sure there will be someone else who be willing to take over.

here you get pix, reviews and rapidshare links none of which you get on eztv
also here they tell you if a show is nuked
half the releases on eztv are nuked or buggered

The simple reason we sometimes behave like nazi’s is that we do all of this out of charity, but then we get ungrateful people like dsrs who make us wonder why we bother.
EZTV is completely non-profit. Complaining about something you get entirely for free just seems wrong to me. However you do have the right to complain. But as NovaKing said, it is our site and we can behave however we want. If you really take that much objection to it you are welcowe to get your tv shows, for free, elsewhere. Because the only thing we earn from EZTV is sleepless nights.
I don't understand why would anyone worry if EZTV make money or not? Is the product great? Yes, in my experience it is the best? Do I have to pay for it? No I don't. Do I wish them all the luck and money they can get for their great work? YES I DO!!! If they all are bloody millionaires and living on the island and Pam Anderson is sitting on their faces, I am still very happy with their service… I don't understand why would anyone complain, even if they are being misrepresentation's kings about their attitude… Give me Nazi like that any day… God bless them for their genocide, since it was great fun so far..

As somehow who has run a similar (although smaller) operation I appreciate that being tough on jackasses is part of the job (and it's easy to act like jackasses to jackasses). I do prefer, however, that you (all) learn to use apostrophes:
It's "Nazis", guys. Capital letter, no apostrophe. You would only use an apostrophe between the "i" and the "s" if something belonged to one singular Nazi. Which it doesn't.
An apostrophe before an 's' usually shows possession except in the word "it's", where it shows a contraction (from 'it is'). Yes, I know it's crazy, but bright people like you who can handle torrenting can learn how to deal with apostrophes. Then, people will think you're more intelligent! Bonus!
