Some nerd asked me 600 dollars to set up my site (for my business). I downloaded LMSOFT Web Creator Pro v4.0.0.4.1 for free at a private tracker, within 5 hours I had my site running.

These applications are wonderful and with a little research sites can be improved easily. It is a free network.

for a static, below standard website from the early 90’s with a few pages… programs like these are great. But that’s all. It’s true there are web designers out there scamming the ignoramus =), £600 is not a scam. My uncle paid 3k for a basic website for his business. I actually think the web designer himself, used a program like ezgenerator to make it lol. So yes, there are conman taking advantage of the trade.
60% of web designers produce the goods. So i don’t understand this view of web designers being a waste of time. 99% of successful sites cannot be produced using a basic program like this. Personally, I can make these basic sites quicker than you can make them using ezgenerator. But it can take up to a few months to produce the real deal.
So no.7 is just making a valid point that these programs offer no support. Why lynch him for it?
My dad made a site using “Mrsite”, in about 2 hours. The thing is, he’s had to spend the past 6 months tweaking it, to take advantage of search engines, meta tags, photo galleries, banners…etc. He’s constantly having to ring them up asking them “how to do this and that
Like i said, if your making a quick pointless site, (about how cool you are…) then these programs do the job. Nothing more.

Whoever thinks this program actually make the same code as a developer who you pay decent money to is confused by a couple of things:
1) All of the WYSIWYG editors deliver bloated, crappy code. It may work at first and especially for a very simple site/page
2) XHTML is a much stricter language is is the way that the web is moving 4 sure. (and all the js/xml/jsp/asp/etc)
3) It’s one thing to slap together a website, but who’s going to maintain it and the problems you WILL have (@10)
There is so much more to being a developer & webmaster than slapping some proprietary auto-generated code for you 3 page, static website.
Don’t worry about India, they’re already doing these jobs remotely anyway lol
Sorry, I should mention in fairness that I have never tried this ‘particular’ WYSIWYG product
But the theory is the same.
If you want to make your own homepage on sniffin-glue or whatever your hobby is, than it’s probably no-biggie
but this isn’t ‘business’ level. Maybe CS3 Dreamweaver is, but you still need to know XHTML & CSS to clean up the code that it will invariably produce

Do someone else has the same problem like me? When lunch the program, the registraion table with name address or so comes out, but after I have filled in all the items,the next button is still not clickable. Strange…. can anybody help me?
I have sold 15 sites at $300.00 or more using this program. Like any app its not what it has but what you do with what it has. This has flash plug in, html plug in, PSD plug in. And it has more. You can build real sites with this if you know how to use it. In fact some government sites were made with it and they look very and I mean very complex. The built in PHP can be changed to make all kinds of databases. In fact the plates are not even needed You can make the site anyway you want. Learn this app and you will make money. The trick is the plug ins. You can load monster plates in this if your good.
