Extras S02 Christmas Special HDTV XviD-SAiNTS
Being a huge Gervais/Merchant fan, this is one of the top releases for me this year. It aired on the 16th on HBO in the US and will air on the BBC on the 27th of December. US viewers get first watch this time around. Extras gets emotional in this almost one and a half hour long Christmas special. It almost seems like a warm-up to a potential film making career for Ricky and Steve. SAiNTS bring you this rls at really nice quality. It has been Nuked for “qpel”, which means it has been compressed in a way scene rules wont allow. This due to the fact that some dvd players wont play it. This shouldn’t be a problem to most people though. Enjoy.

Damn ever since i saw the office when he played David brent, ive been looking for something with Ricky, not perticul big fan of UK comedy, as i dont understand everything, but the office was HILARIOUS and also the Live stand up movie with Ricky was brilliant, beginning to get the UK humour now, anyway, thanks for this one, been looking for the extras but havent found anything anywhere, so thank you and merry X MAS from norway!.

Not a patch on the Office and the Films Gervais has done since have nearly all been guff. He’s hugely overrated as a comedian and simply got ‘lucky’ with the Office. Even his Brent is a rip off of Partridge. I still love the Office but don’t like all the love it received in comparison to the shows it ripped off.
In fairness, I think the only show that The Office resembled was a police comedy called Operation Good Guys which aired years and years before The Office.
Unfortunately I don’t think it was particularly popular, even here in the UK. It was an awesome show, and centred around a police station and a load of bumbling coppers. It was class.
As for the comment about Gervais ripping off people like Alan Partridge, well I don’t think that’s true. I can see how you might think that, but personally I’d say that those shows both come under the umbrella of “british comedy”, so they’re lkely to be quite similar.
I’ve not seen this Christmas special yet, but it’s defo an early Christmas present as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for the upload!

This is a slightly different episode than will be shown in UK next week. Some American specific jokes and also some jokes cut out as they are not allowed in America. Some may want to wait till next weeks UK airing.
xiii: Exactly which jokes weren’t allowed in the US? Since Extras plays on HBO, they can pretty much say and do whatever they like! Weird stuff.
As for the American specific jokes, they have indeed changed a few jokes around in the past, because certain slang words in British have no meaning to us Americans.
