eXistenZ 1999 INTERNAL WS DVDRip XviD-qNs

Another old movie that was released a few days ago by “qNs” is this film starring Jude Law from back 1999. Another sci-fi thriller that is directed by the same director as the previous one posted today. As I said early today, group qNs seems to be unknown to me and they don’t have samples in their releases, so I’m not sure about their quality. I would like to hear from people who will down this if the quality looks like a standard DVDRiP or less. Enjoy!

Allegra Geller, the leading game designer in the world, is testing her new virtual reality game, eXistenZ with a focus group. As they begin, she is attacked by a fanatic assassin employing a bizarre organic gun. She flees with a young marketing trainee, Ted Pikul, who is suddenly assigned as her bodyguard. Unfortunately, her pod, an organic gaming device that contains the only copy of the eXistenZ game program, is damaged. To inspect it, she talks Ted into accepting a gameport in his own body so he can play the game with her. The events leading up to this, and the resulting game lead the pair on a strange adventure where reality and their actions are impossible to determine from either their own or the game’s perspective.

2Anathema, dude I lowed Cube and Gattaca was a fine movie too. But this movie is just a piece of utter crap, didn’t like it at all. Definitely, not to everyones liking.

An avid cyberpunk lover I am, I clearly remember hating this movie back in 2000. I’d rather re-watch that Neuromancer-based French flick Nirvana (with Christopher Lambert), but I don’t suppose there is a dvd copy floating around, is there?

Thanks a lot for the tip, Eriol. I have pretty good memories of the movie, but they all come from 8 or 9 years ago. If the 5.4 IMDB rating is of any indication, I’ll probably have a less positive opinion of it today.. But it’s not like I have to pay to take another look ;)

This is a weird movie even by my standards. It is a good one though.

Just to close the discussion of that that Nirvana movie I mentioned earlier. I found its torrent (wasn’t there last time I looked) at thepiratebay.org. Again, a 5.4 IMDB-rated European cyberpunk 1997 movie that seemed watchable almost 10 years ago. Right now I’m already getting turned off by the bits of voice acting (dub from Italian?) I can hear through the VLC player, but, anyway, the movie is low-budget, very Neuromancer-ish and may only be worth downloading if you’re into the cyberpunk culture and like movies like Hackers, Johnny Mnemonic, and, possibly eXistenZ. Blade Runner also fits the list, but it’s on a completely different level in terms of production quality.

Gattaca is awesome, but Cube sucks. Cubes only redeeming quality is that it has the actor who plays Rodney on SG:Atlantis, and he’s not even that great an actor, nor am I a fan of the show
