The (in)famous underground games group ViTALiTY released a brand new game called Evil Days of Luckless John. This game is a mix of genre’s which include adventure, arcade shooter and fighting. The game is inspired by various comics, cartoon’s and “humorous action scenes”. You can expect to see all of these elements cleverly integrated into the storyline.This appears to be quite an interesting game, a nice mix genres, really well done quirky graphics along with an interesting and engrossing story. Coming in at about 550 MB, it is very a good size for a 3D Adventure game and i cant sign off without giving ViTALiTY some praise for cracking that TAGES protection. Nice job guys! Enjoy!

John is indeed luckless. Everything he ever started turned out to be a major disaster. Until one day a distant relative dies, and the only heir of his profitable casino is – of course – John. Is he going to be lucky this time? Already thinking about the money that is supposed to pour in, already thinking about spending all his future riches, suddenly reality strikes back at John – again. The Mob wants to get their hands on John’s Casino. Being already responsible for the death of the former owner, John’s appearance makes them very unhappy. It looks like John is in big trouble…

At this point, the player of this beautifully designed graphic adventure takes control. He has to make sure that John will lose his nick name, or die trying. “Luckless John”, developed by Centauri, is in the best tradition of classic and fun graphic adventures, mixed with today’s 3D technology. The main character can be moved around in an almost open 3D environment, with a simple and intuitive user interface. Luckless John is appealing to fans of the adventure genre, while adding the modern look and feel to attract a wide audience of gamers who like to follow a humorous storyline.

    I think the lock combo is 24-5-1872. If you mess up enough John will start ranting at you and essentially tell you the combo.

    @hello: it is a bin/cue, so you just mount it with DaemonTools and you can install.

    I can’t get this to work though, I can watch the intro movie but when the main menu comes up, I can’t move the mouse or press any keys. The core the game runs on is at 100% but nothing happens. If I skip through the intro video, I just get a black screen with music. In both cases, the only way out is to kill the process.

    How are you guys installing this? i used daemon tools to install and play but then it asks for a cd. the .nfo says there is supposed to be a crack in the “vitality” folder, yet when you extract it there is no such folder, where is the crack then?

    yes i have that problem too, the .nfo says if you get this error to close the game folder, but i didn’t even have it open so that was not the problem or a fix, someone please help!

    Hi guys

    I run the crack but it asks for the cd – even though it is in the drive. Have I missed something?

    I checked the .nfo and it says “copy the crack” but does not say to where.

    What do you mean there’s no Vitality folder? umm…It’s the folder named Vitality…I don’t know how else to say it. When you mount the bin/cue file with Daemon tools, look on the disc and it’s there.

    As for copying the crack…you copy cracks over the original .exe files in the original game. Most crack operate this way, that’s why they don’t say where. I figured all this out years ago by looking around for “game cracking 101″ or something and so did everyone else. This game comes with a different crack for each language.

    So look in the Viatality folder (that IS on the disc) and copy the .exe file that is the language you want. Open the game’s install folder and look for the similar named .exe and “copy the crack” over that folder. You’ll feel dumb when you do it because it’s kinda simple. Then 99% of game cracks work this way. There’s a whole big website gamecopyworld that has millions of these so you don’t need discs for games you legally own (what a crack is for). They might have more simple-ish instructions for people who don’t know what a file is or something.

    The game is very good. If you can’t do the safe you should never play this game again… The radio is quite easy… The guards are easy and everybody who has problems with this game is full idiot!

    Anyone else got problems in the dungeon when you need to wiggle out of your handcuffs? You need to press certain keys in sequence, but it doesn’t appear to register any keystrokes at all… Bug?

    Yeah… The handcuff part is bugged. Seems we shall have to wait until the game comes out or perhaps the cracked .exe has caused it.

    Also.. I had no troubles with this game except for the demolition race.

    The handcuffs bit is not bugged.

    You have to do two things:

    A. Use WASD.
    B. Enter the keys when the -question marks- appear, not when the keys themselves appear. (So, not like Guitar Hero and DDR and all those other games.)

    To open the safe click left arrow to 2 then right 4 and then right to 5 then left to 1 and continue to 8 and then click left to 7 and 2

    and for guards go to electric chair press switch and guard walk to close it then steal his teddy from table and put it pn the chair and then press switch

    This is a great game and quite challenging! I have made it out of the prison, into the factory, and have successfully contacted a getaway driver who has already arrived and is waiting for me. The only problem I am having is finding something to pry the locker door opened! i went outside and found a pipe, but it won’t let me use it. I have searched the entire factory inside and outside, both the locker room as well as the office that has the phone, but I’m unable to find the item needed to pry the door opened, can someone please tell me if I need to backtrack to a previous room to get it?

    I been for a long time searching for a GOOD Adventure game, that is enjoyable to play. I mean a adventure game like Syberia (that is a good game in my opinion).

    But when I downloaded and tried this game, was I as disappointed as I been with the last 30-40 NEW adventure games i downloaded. It doesnt at all catch my lust to continue playing, it has some fun parts but they are too few to make up for the bad ones. So sorry to say it, but I just give it 2 stars out of 5.

    Hmm, I’ve copied the correct language crack into the game folder, and when I click it I get the following error:

    “Warning
    Insert the CD and run the game from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.”

    :S What the hell? I’ve restarted the computer, closed all folders, and whatnot… Argh.

    This safe is sickening annoying, I go… Left to 2, Right to 4 Then left, and then I can’t do anything, although after that I can go left to 1 then right, and then left to 8 then right, but nothing else.

    God damnit, my patience is excellent and I grew up to adventure games like these… Monkey Island, Full Throttle, Broken Sword, you name it… But this is f-ed.

    Any help?

    This is fun little gem, not too easy when u turn off the ‘help’ .. nice little minigames, i enjoyed the ‘ballroll’ at the end, nice oldschool stuff.. 8/10 for trying to make something different

    I got a bug with the moving platforms, started falling through them, re-start of the game halped on that.. yep, its a bit tricky, but the challenge level is on the spot. Good fun , remember to check the extras, theres a time trial level too

    Hmm there’s no more pieces of glass in the church(i press tab and there’s no more stuff to find)… and then i go to the altar or wtvr.. put the shards of glass on it… but then nothing happens… and when i try the 2/3 to solve the puzzle the game crashes on me :P … could someone post a picture of the glass puzzle completed? tks

    Tim, that’s what’s wrong with my game(besides crashing now and then)… i can’t rotate… i’ve tried all keys and it doesn’t rotate but instead it drags the piece(like with the mouse).. :\ thought it had to be that.. thanks anyway.. i’ll see if i can work out on what’s wrong with my game :P

    cesd have you made a boat out of the car? i presume you have, if so you have to go to the room with the 4 “cranes” and tap them all, and the water will get high enough to get out… to make the boat you have to use the 2 fan`s. you have to jump to get them, and the tuba. then helen can help you push the boat into the water….

    on its own,i don’t touch anything it goes to the left by its self.but as soon as i land there is some huge container on my

    The handcuff part is indeed bugged, but not so much that it is impossible to pass. The hit detection is pretty bad sometimes and other times it’ll say he screwed up yet you do it perfectly.

    Doesn’t this game come out Q4 of this year? How the hell did it get leaked this early and why is it complete except for bugs?

    you wont have to race to much. If you took the job at the farm from the guy at the bar then you will get more than enough money to pay… Just go back and collect the money from him.

    Guy:
    You use the A – S – D – W keys instead of the arrows.
    A = left
    D = right
    S = up
    W = down

    If you do that then it’s peace of cake to finish this.

    Figured out the tractor bit (for anybody interested):

    1) You only need to win the tractor race once
    2) when you win the race, it will be easier for you, if you take the longest time possible (and still come 1st)
    3) After you win the race, you will be told the Italian has beaten your time…. DO NOT TRY AND BEAT THIS TIME.
    4) Go get your false papers, if you don’t have enough money speak with Kid (at the bar).
    5) Continue with the rest of the game
    6) Eventually you will be able to improve your tractor with a secret ingredient (I’m not going to spoil it)
    7) Do the tractor race again, and win (as long as you take 1st place, the italian won’t beat your time.

    There is a bug in the game… if you win the tractor race in too short a time (without the secret ingredient, you will never be able to beat the game, as you will have to beat an impossible Italian’s time.

    (I made this mistake, won 185sec without ingredient… had to somehow beat 159 sec, which is pretty damn near impossible.)

    Bonus locations?
    I got most of them, Anybody know the other 2?

    1) At the start, running away from the mob, through the streets… a little bit before you start pushing blocks to jump the fence.

    2) Outside the casino

    3) In the sewers (straight after the prison), drain one of water tanks, it’s hidden in a sort of tunnel at the bottom.

    4) Going to get the map, half way between where you start and the map is located.

    5) going to the graveyard, you do a big jump, the bonus is located just afterwards on the left

    6) the matrix esque zone… you get strapped to a ball. half-way along your trip, there is an alternative route at the end is a bonus. (Start looking when the platforms you are on become concave, and snake-like)

    to open the safe do the following for anyone
    the code is 2451872, right?
    so
    the first number is “2″ you enter it by the right arrow
    then when you arrive to the unit that has “2″ on it enter the second number “4″ in the opposite direction “left” and continue like that until you hit the last “2″ and then youll here the voice of something unlocked and ul open the safe with the handle and grap the key

    hey guys
    after the handcuffs
    the symphony car that ul drive in the sewer “the poison gas”
    there is a place that has somthing like 4 pipes in it
    and you have to hit the pipes in some order in order to make a flood and get out above the rubbish that is closing the way behind the the gate
    there is a 2 ways to go to the place that im talking about
    right,
    there is a short way and there is a little bit longer one
    when you go from the long one start like that
    hit the one on the side of your left hand “your personal hand”
    and then the second one is the one on the right hand of yours the third one is the one on the same side of the 2nd one the fourth one is the one on the same side of the 1st one

    There is one bonus in the sewers that can be reached only after the “change”, opposite of the long tunnel to where the change is created.

    Hi Guys,
    I have a very important question to ask! When i’ve installed the game with Daemon tools en then copy the english language from the ‘Vitality’ Folder and paste it into the installation map, it gives an error: Cannot find d3dx9_32.dll Does anyone know what whent wrong???

    that error is shown because you didn’t installed DirectX 9.0c with the game or you don’t have it installed! try installing DirectX and then it should work!

    I’m still seeking a walkthrough for this game – I’ve searched EVERYWHERE I can think to look – does ANYONE know where I can find a walkthrough? I’m stymied and will not be able to play without one — I can see it already.
