Finally some new game after these weeks without any new “serious” gaming title. I wanted to use good or great, but Europa Universalis won’t become a mass title probably, as it’s still more likely a cheap budget than some blockbuster. Dont let the fact that it is a bit of an “unknown” series fool you, as it is one of the best hstorical strategy type series out there. Europa Universalis II was amazing, and III has been a long time in the making so I expect it to be great.
Does this game need a crack ?

Ok a good game, ney a Great game.
I was playing portual in the eve of discovery for the new world, I decided to focus on colonization of south africa and had over 7 colonies when all of a sudden (after 4h of playing) my neighbor Spain zerg rushes me with 20,000 soldiers (note that i have negleted portugals defenses) and i’m now currently sending my colonys defense force to try to retake what I have have lost to those infidels :’(
Overall i give this game a 7/10 for it’s AWSOME gamestyle there must be over 150 nations to play during a period of 400 years, the grafic is so and so but playable, the only thing that disturbs me is the 2 sec lagg when autosave goes off.
It runs right off the reloaded release. No cd needed, no crack needed.
Also, there is a patch, but I havent patched it yet. If anyone has patched it can they confirm whether the patch needs a crack>?
No crack needed after patching. There seems to be no copy protection at all.
The previous versions of this game were good, i’m wondering if this one is also that good. I will find out after i download it, thanks a lot.

u r kiddin … i have been waiting for this game for 3 years and now…. jesus.. I cant play it because this piece of shit needs 128 MB video card….. FOK THEM, for what ? that game interface is just map omg, for EU2 u had to have p266 mhz and 8 mb video… this looks the same but u need 128 mb videocard….
Something strange happens when I start the game: the resolution changes to some wide screen format and i only see half the game. This is very weird. i tried all sorts of resolution configuration but nothing works. I can see the entire game screen only if I switch to windowed mode. I have a nVidia 5600XT graphics card with 128MB RAM so it should meet the minimum requirements.
Has anyone encountered this?
I got the update, updated and played and it said i dont have 128 mb graphics card but the thing is I DO! After i press accept on the box that says it will decrease my graphic settings i get a Runtime Error any1 else? ANy1 knows what to do?
Martin, you forgot the PS 2.0 (PixelShader 2.0 in the graphic card) requirement in the post.
Without it, even if the card has 128Mb it won’t work, which is my case
For those who have 128MB and PS 2.0 but have the errors should check out the game’s forum. i think with the update though this was corrected

and when the finished loading…i get a blue screen with some information but it disapears really fast..and the computer resets itself..dunno what’s the problem

I can lauch the game and even play it but the thing is the map is blue I cant see the “ground” olny water nothing else for those who remember some people had this probleme with CIV IV (dark map blabla)
The game is broken. If you have an Intel chip set, you get the blue screen as described above. There is no patch, no fix, just a hopelessly buggy program.
