Dan #12 is a man who is truly a product of the "Bush" metality ... If you are not with the MPAA or RIAA you are our enemy ... Pssst! Some of us think you need a black president and to "Lighten Up" on trying to bring your particular brand of "Freedom" to the rest of the world ... We are not all ready to be 'Yankee Doodle Dandies' friend.

Dan/#12, do you really think EU will be sanctioned, because one individual is not put to the American-way of justice?

Where is the European solidarity, if EU is forced to change laws..? I think no country should have an influence on the domestic affairs of another country, so should EU do its own thing regardless of what other countries are doing.

Look at Sweden and thepiratebay, Sweden is a member of the EU and thepiratebay is still operating despite numerous warnings, etc. from firms. So why the heck aren't they arested by the Interpol on behalf of the American companies?! I'm not an expert on this, but I suppose there are some restrictions of Interpol You missed.

You people need to pull your heads out of the dark places you seem to have planted them. Ever heard of Interpol? Seems that just like European companies can arrest people in different countries via Interpol, so can American companies arrest people in Europe using the same agency.

And have you never heard of blocking access to the site? Seems that China has done pretty well in doing this and good old Canada has also blocked access to sites in Europe and Russia so any iSP doing business in Canada cannot allow their people to access the blocked sites forcing the people to go the long way round to get to them.

You people in Europe had better wake up and join the rest of us in the real world as just because you live in Europe, does not mean that a company in another country cannot use Interpol to reach out and "touch" you.

Oh and one more thing, what happens if the RIAA and MPAA sue in the World court and win? Then your vaunted "laws" wont mean squat as your countries would have to chage them or face sanctions. Or they sue in your European Court/Tribunal and win? As members of the EU you are now FORCED to change your laws unless you want to break away and the chances of that happening so you can download stuff is infinity to one against it happening.

You really should use your head for something besides a wind break and a hat rest.

@6
I suppose one has to pay the regular TV-bill for access.
I'm quite anxious how the private broadcasters will react to this, whether they have to pay for using the new system..

Anyhow, it's nice to live in EU and to be able have this advanced technology soon :D

I got the feeling that for the first time EU is doing something good for it's citizens - or at least something good that might affect me.
