@18….Yes this software is good…over the last few years ESET have consistently been ranked at (or very near) the top of AV softwares by the leading AV benchmarking websites.
However, these versions posted tend to be supplied with a username/license combination which will inevitably be blacklisted within a few days. There are sites where u can get a new valid login/password but again these eventually get blacklisted. The small apps (i.e. nodenabler etc)u can find to automatically keep your login/pass valid dont yet work with the full Eset Smart Security…they only allow you to update the AV components of the suite but Im sure eventually someone will come up with a working hack/patch/workaround which doesnt need the constant user intervention.

Yeah this, kaspersky and mcafee are top 3 IMO.
Does this work for Vista 64bit version ?
The only crack that seems to be consistently working is the 24,000 trial days crack. I've only seen it for older versions of NOD32 though.
kaspersky 2009 + Malwarebytes anti-malware ,best combo in my opinion.
works for me tho would have been easier and faster if they just uploaded the crack since the last one didn't work

I'm still using nod32 2.5 which updates automatically fine. Haven't bothered updating but may go to Avast which I have running on a laptop

i used to use kaspersky 2009 until my comp got badly infected by viruses,windows crashed,lost all my data.
since then i have tried out avg 8.5 Its pretty good,but mine got blacklisted.
Will check if nod32 solves my problems.
Kaspersky is a "NEVER" for me.

not its not working under x64 just tested it and it say that the program intended for x86 arch
I got 4.314 and its telling me that the databade doesnt need updating even though the last update was on 03/04/09. Is that right? When was the last update?
For some reason you have to try the update tab repeatedly and it will eventually begin update(that is after allowing firewall exception for ESET) It will auto update after initial one

ESET have always made superb AV software but v4 (all builds) of their Smart Security Suite leaves a lot to be desired. Check out the Wilders Security forums for an idea of the various problems users are facing. I'd recommend sticking with v3.0.368 until a more stable build of v4 is released

i havant used av or firewall for the last 4 years….so why dont i ever have viruses, trojans etc?
i check it once a month by installing avg and uninstall it after scan.
its all a marketing ploy.
that and i dont go to p0rn sites or download from kazaa, lulz. inb4 "you are rootkitted to hell and you dont know it n00b'….no, im not, checked.
Business edition is not a wise choice for personal users. It tends to come up with more "false positives" and/or block more stuff. Notably interferes with multiplayer games.

It used to be sucky few years back, but somehow along the road, Avira AntiVir Premium 8.2 managed to outshine 16 other antivirus products and won the “Best Antivirus Product of 2008″ last year. Unfortunately, the 1st quarter of 2009 shows otherwise.
if you ask me, I’ll definitely recommend ESET NOD32, as it has high proactive on-demand detection and low false alarm rates. It was product of the year for 2006 and 2007, but placed a close second in 2008.

The problem with a lot of these programs is that you have to update regularly and it seems they get wind of which versions are cracked and suss it out for the next update which makes your cracked version ineligible for download. Use Avast home its free and no probs.

i have used nod32 from the very first time it was released. My friends however are more kaspersky fan. But let me tell you that each antivirus in itself is not sufficient. They have their own niche of virus killing capabilities, which significantly differ from each other. I have seen 40/50 laptops running different antivirus programs and none seemed to work efficiently. Many a times Norton/kasperesky couldnot catch a worm whereas NOD32 did (and vice versa, of course, though i havent seen it happening in Norton/Kasperesky). However I use AVG (..huh.!!..i know..!) but it works. Many worms were killed by AVG free vers, which passed the NOD32 test. I dont know why but thats my experience.
There are cracks for eset that work really well like: mara-fix, nod enabler, nodlogin etc. No longer blacklisted serials!
For Kaspersky there is a trial reseter!
I got Cyberdefender, and it worked great as a free scanner with spyware and trojan removal. If it finds a virus, you need the upgrade, which I got since I liked the speed and user interface of the scanner. The Cyberdefender anti-virus works great, and the paid version I got also came with 24/7 computer help line with my wife found helpful while I was away. I found out Cyberdefender is a NASDAQ company and they have a great product.

using 4.0.417 updates perfectly but there is a serious flaw insothat you are unable to do absolutely ANYTHING to the default choices to the program. A window pops up asking for a password. no username, just password. Quite interesting. So I am at an impass at the moment. Updates perfectly, unable to hit 'F5' due to the password question, unable to uncheck checked items, etc. this came from a site not here with rave reviews so i'm wondering if this is the new option eset is using…
rather dumb if you ask me. watching comodo, it loves the internet by checking every file (for viruses, but when I don't need it for many other options, unchecking the ticker, gives me the big ol' finger)

I've just instal it and followed the simple instructions and it's running perfectly. Not a single problem with updates, it's up to date. I've download the Anvivirus Business Edition one. BTW Ad-Aware detected a trojan but blocked it. No furter problems after that.
Doesn't update without a legit key. Can be acquired by visiting Nod321.com :S.
Otherwise, this release works I guess…
