Eros Ramazzotti - E2 2CD (2007)
A slightly unusual music release hit the scene few days ago and its popularity forced me to post it here. Eros Ramazzotti’s new album E2 comes on 2 CDs packed with this artist’s best music. These two discs are quite different: first one has a function of “Best Of” album, while the second offers mostly unknown songs performed with some world’s finest singers. If you love Italian music, this is a must have.
The album “e²” (Eros squared) – due to be released on October 26th, two days before his 44th birthday – is a collection of some of the most famous songs by the Italian singer (from “Terra promessa” to “La nostra vita”, including “Adesso tu”, “L’Aurora”, and “Più bella cosa”), but it is also Eros Ramazzotti’s eleventh original work. In addition to the 14 hits remastered in their original version, comprehensive of duets with Tina Turner, Cher, and Anastacia, the double CD “e²” contains 4 previously unreleased songs and 17 previously released “new songs”.
In other words, pieces from his repertoire which, although having already belonged to previous records, enjoy a second life thanks to the different sound Eros has instilled in them together with internationally renown artists and producers such as: Gian Piero Reverberi, Michele Canova, Dado Moroni, Jon Spencer, John Shanks, Wyclef Jean, Steve Vai, Carlos Santana, Pat Leonard, Rhythm Del Mundo, Take 6, The Chieftains, and Amaia from La Oreja De Van Gogh (listed in order of appearance on the second CD).

Eros Ramazzotti is the best singer. I love him and waiting for his new album to arrive in my country. I love you Eros. You are one of a kind. Keep on giving us good music. I have all your albums and listen to them everyday.
Eros isn’t the best singer in the world - and he knows it but his writing, producing and style add up to an awesome package.
He makes great, accessible music that is a touch easy on the ear but nonetheless displays a mighty talent of European music and deserving of all the success and awards that his long career has brought him.
I’m looking forward to his new album and a chance to hear some of his classic songs revisited and/or remastered.

I understand many do not enjoy his music and that’s fine…I go through that everytime I play his music (my spouse is not very fond of him). I did have the pleasure of seeing him live in a concert and whether you like his music or not you will agree that his is a VERY talented musician if you ever have the chance to experience it. Absolutely my favorite singer! Great lyrics, music, and production. A little bit of world knowledge goes a long way…be open to all and you will live life.
OK let’s get this right. E2 the album was released on 26th October, the single Non Siamo Soli with Ricky Martin was released prior to this and has been top of the charts all over Europe!!! This man writes both the lyrics and the music and is a fantastic musician. He looks fantastic andhis voice is like chocolate - it draws you in and before too long you are addicted!
It doesn’t matter he records in Italian that adds to it. I’m English and in my opinion (and those of thousands of others) he is the best!!!!
I agree completely with Caroline. I’m from Denmark and have been a fan of Eros since 1990 and he is just getting better and better. I went to one of his concerts in 2006 and he was absolutely fantastic.
I am an American and have followed Eros’s career 10 or more years. Someone tell me just who “the best” is?? No matter who you are the “best” is who YOU like the most. Crazy world!!! So I get a voice about MY best. Thank you Eros for music that has inspired me, held me strong in tough times and made me feel incredibly wonderful things. i am 37 years old and was only introduced to Eros Ramazzotti this year,,,,my god what i have been missing, i love his music, i have his rome concert on dvd. i only wish he would do a concert in SA i would give one of my limbs to see him in concert.
