Era Reborn 2008-TWCMP3

So what we have here :). It’s the new Era album, Reborn. Done by the oldskool sceners from TWCMP3. So no worries about the quality of this release. Nicely shared in the scene one day before the actual retail date. I think many people will actually enjoy this “new age” rls.

Era is a music project by Eric Levi that is often based on chants in an imaginary language close to Latin. The music could be described as New Age. Their music mixes classical music, opera, and Gregorian chants with other contemporary styles. Their music was used in the soundtrack for the French film Les Visiteurs and in Sylvester Stallone’s “Driven”. The song “Ameno” was used in Australia within “The Power of Yes” advertisements for Optus Communications. The band has sold more than 10 million albums. Era is also famous among mixed martial arts fans due to their song “Enae Volare Mezzo” being the theme song of Fedor Emelianenko. Era’s live shows often feature vocalists dressed in mediaeval clothes and armour.

    I didn’t like it much..

    Information about this album :

1- If you are wondering about the language in tracks 2,5,6 it’s Arabic.

2- The track 2 (Reborn) has almost the same rhythm as another piece of music composed by the great band X-Ray Dog called ” Live or Die”, but here it’s a little bit slow rhythm.

3- The woman in track 5 (Prayers) is saying in Arabic
” Whatever the relegion is, light lies in believing, spread peace in life” repeated .

it’s a great cd . Arabic classic unknown singers are way way more qualified and talented than any testless fabricated meddle east divas . thanks to him to bring such voices under spotlight .
The quality of recording is perfection as usual .
Allthose I’m not found of the all cd I have to admit it’s well done and deserve true success for it amount of effort and professionalism .
Eric Levi is not doing some photoshopstuff for music to trick his public , it’s real stuff, real artist , real voices, real musicians ! that is rare ! .
And by the way ” xenon ” the rhythm you are talking about is a ‘valse’ 1/3 ,Chopin Mozart and Beetles used it as well ..yep!

greatest post ever! since i love and own all of the previous albums, i won’t even bother downloading this for once. i’m just wondering where to get that limited edition. or is every copy “limited”? hell, i really hate ungoogleable bandnames…

    already got it figured out…

anyway, to the people who say that it sucks because it’s always the same: well… that might sound weird but there are people out there who actually want to get more of things they like.

i for one was desperately searching for artists who sound like “era” in the last couple of years when there were no new releases. and i couldn’t find any. i even think it’s very difficult to find any new age band that didn’t just produce one hit. a lot of those one can find on samplers either never released an album or their regular style is actually very different from the one song that’s on a sampler.

Unfortunately I’m very dissapointed with this album. There’s no atmosphere from other albums. But I’m an owner of http://www.era.rootnode.net - the website (probably the biggest in the world), so I must listen to it :]

    @ 29

same here… i got the cd today and am currently listening to track 5 - what the hell were they thinking?!
but the other songs aren’t better… they reduced the mystical aspect of the sound to a minimum and took in a lot of dance/pop-stuff… horrible. only track 9 is a reminder of what “era” once was (and maybe track 4 a little…).
