RIP Michael Crighton (1942 – 4 Nov 2008):

Writer of not only E.R. & Jurassic Park, but a ton of other books, movies & TV that you’ve prolly never heard of (or knew he was involved in).

e.g. The Andromeda Strain – lately converted into a mini-series, the original 1971 movie was way better… And Westworld, Coma & Sphere, to name a couple more.
