Description:
This dynamic program shows how America’s prisons are changing to match increasingly threatening inmates: ganged up, violent, and smart. To deal with relentlessly violent criminals at California’s Pelican Bay Prison, engineers constructed a super-maximum security unit within the facility, referred to as “The Shoe.” And Massachusetts’ Souza Baranowski Prison developed and is using high-tech prison engineering to protect its officers and other inmates from habitual criminals who fail to cease being violent, even under the eyes of the law.

    It isn’t crap.There are interviews with Chris Nolan,Bale and some scenes from both movies.
    And they show the military stuff that the gadgets are based on.

    you should post something from the other viewpoint, such as something with this facts:
    1. u.s. has the largest prison population
    2. s.h.u. makes people crazy
    3. a lot of prisons are private – trying to make money instead of rehabilitation.
    4. 1 in every 4 black man is in the system

    5. prison life is hell

    This post reads like this is a NEW concept. This isn’t new, and the “SHU” for Security Housing Unit has been around for well over a decade. Pelican bay has long been known for their SHU.
    It’s worth looking at, but it’s not a ‘new’ idea and implementation by any means

    ppl’s comments are too funny. @45 and @47. Seems very interesting to waste billions of dollars on ppl that are more animal than human. I just feel terrible for the ones that are innocent. Probably .01%. All the ppl out there poor as hell and dont do crimes get the butt end of the stick and horrible ppl get free food, love making and a holiday inn bed to lay in. Some probably get free back rubs. No wonder half the ppl in the world will be in prison at some point or another
