YAY, here is another game that i have been waiting for and im sure many of you have aswell, Empire Total War thanks to Razor1911. The game focuses on the era period between the 1700s and 1800s. The game follows a similar style of play as earlier Total War titles: players choose a contemporary faction and set out to ensure their faction’s domination over the known world.

Empire: Total War maintains the series’ genre-leading 3D battles, grand turn-based campaign map and rich historical flavor while for the first time introducing 3D naval combat into the series. The game is set in the 18th century, a turbulent era alive with global conflict, revolutionary fervour and technological advances. Empire: Total War sees the debut of 3D naval combat — gamers will be able to intuitively command vast fleets or single ships upon seascapes rich with extraordinary water and weather effects that play a huge role in your eventual glorious success or ignominious defeat. After pummelling your enemy with cannon fire, close in to grapple their ship and prepare to board taking control your men as they fight hand to hand on the decks.

    I think, the question is now;
    do we have to download whole repack OR there will be a separate all working fix patch for razor release ? (original missing files from steam update patch that can be extracted into razor release)

    Is there any other fix you included in your repack ?
    Now i got Razor release + Edited Crack + Steam Sound fix you just linked. You mentioned earlier that Razor release misses more than just sound files. So, do we need anything else to play PROPERLY (as good as your repack) with razor?

    exc yes, you can play on RAzor version. I made repack only for new peaple ho dont DL this game before. And size be smallest.

    I can't seem to get the setup.exe on RAZOR's release to work, it reports the setup.dat is missing (although its obviously there) then goes on saying that "c:\Program Files\setup_bs.exe" wasn't found. Other ppl also reported the same problem. I think its a hardware or a compatibility problem. Can anyone think of a fix?

    i dont know how to play this game
    installation went fine
    cant start empire.exe
    get an error saying something like Configuration not proper, try reinstalling the game
    i reinstalled 3 times

    Do i need this STEAM to be in the same dir as Empire Total War??

    dfg STEAM can be intalled on any folder of you HDD. Try to update you C++ library.

    is to fix the "Road to Independence Campaign" Bug?
    So with your Repack Version, we've got the same as the Original Version Patched?

    Hey, did anyone encounter this issue? I'm currently playing with the modified reloaded crack (not all files, just patch, exe etc.) and steam sounds.
    On chapter 2 from RTL campaign, after you capture Loisbourg you should get access to the last part of the map. After capturing it I get the mission to capture Quebec and Montreal, all which are in the black, unrevealed part of the map which can't be access. Some campaign trigger gone bad or something as the map won't reveal.

    Repack fix the "Road to Independence Campaign" Bug, and all sound problem. But this is not be a fully patched steam version. After normal update is releases, i made update for my repack soon as posible.

    Can you tell me what are the steps I need to do to get this game working properly?
    What I've understood so far:
    1)Install Razor's version but don't copy the crack
    2) Download and copy the sound file from http://narod.ru/disk/6321198000/sounds_sfx.rar.html . Also could you make a torrent with this file because for some unknown reason that download speed is less the 50kb.
    3)The link with the edited crack(http://narod.ru/disk/6349175000/Razor1911%20(copy%202).rar.html) doesn't work. I tryed adding at the end Razor1911%202.rar.html but still doesn't work, is that what you ment?
    Also that edited crack is only for the Russian version or its good for all languages?

    Anyway could you post a comment with links to all files we need to download to fix the game.

    Well, sure. I'm going to post a bit more detailed this time.If you have any specific question, feel free to ask.
    Install steps:
    Razor1911 disk 1, at disk 2 SID pointer used 0,1,2,2 (this was on a forum page)
    Used crack from your archive. Patch, patch.eng, boot, exe and config
    Used sounds from patched steam.
    The game runs fine, the previous bug from the first battle being resolved.
    Succesfully completed chapter 1.
    Now, on the RTL missions, you can't access the whole map at the start. After doing a certain mission, your map radious extends (this is not the case on Grand Campaign)
    Done missions on chapter 1.
    Chapter 2 starts ok. Several objectives done, and most of the map unlocked. All seems ok. Them you get a assignment to capture Louisburg with the reward of a map unlock. After conquest the map is not unlocked and the new objective, conquer 2 cities, can not be done as the cites are within a part of the map that is not unlocked.
    Will try to reinstall using installer order.
    If you want screenshot or anything, just tell.

    For me at least, yes. I could not complete chapter 2 becouse of the map not revealing. If anyone who got the game working would try to complete\has completed chapter 2 would post we could see if it's just on my instalation or if it's because of the razor install (even with edited crack and sound)

    Just to let everyone know.
    I had problems with the installer ending up with missing files.
    What I did to solve it was the following:
    1. copy all Empire Total War_diskx files to a directory
    2. copy the setup.* (and possably all other files in the root of disc1) to the same directory
    3. Change the setup.dat to the following:

    changed the setup.dat angelus explained… installation was pretty good but all texts are in english an the syncronisation was german :-) i want german texts and english syncro

    Woohooo, Finnaly got it working!

    Working sounds, No crashes in battle :-)

    What i did:

    1. Updated my graphic card (nvidia) drivers with the latest one. Also download the latest windows updates (.net framework)
    2. Copy all files from cd1 + cd2 to a temporary directory.
    3. Start the installation from the temporary directory with setup.exe
    4. After installation I installed steam with the installer ALSO in the temporary directory.(SteamInstall.msi)
    5. Then I installed directx (I have vista so DX10 but i did it anyway cause it didnt work without it!!) I installed DirectX from my installation directory, in my case:
    C:\Program Files\Empire Total War\redist\directx\DXSETUP.exe
    6. Then I used to fixed crack, so no the all the files, only those who are also mentioned above….
    7.Now i used the SoundFix downloaded with newsgroups but also available on torrents..

    I tried it for 20 min and played some battles, no problems till now…

    You have empire.exe moved to your installation directory?
    You used the steam setup from cd1?

    Ok, so it's not something gone horribly wrong with my install I guess. I confirm the grand campaign seems to work ok. RTL still stuck at mission 2..black fog of war.

    Is there a way to make this game work over LAN? I have tried everything in my power and it keeps saying steam needs to be opened to play LAN…but steam is opened…even launches the game from steam

    I did the following to get it running:

    Uninstall steam, throw all extracted isos into the temp directory where he always searches for the cd's first. Then i installed microsoft frame network and updated my c++ libraries using "vcredist-sp1×64" in the redist directory.

    Afterwards lüppt es!

    THIS RELEASE SUCKS BALLS.
    Can't install, stops during copying some file.

    RAZOR 1911 IS CRAP, NEVER WILL DL ANY OF THEIR RELEASE AGAIN.

    Although I've never had problems with their cracks.

    Ok new updates……..

    1.Install game
    2.Grab the sound fix (proper) thats around
    3.Copy over all contents of Razor folder, EXCEPT "episodic_1 folder". If you have copied over everything all ready use this back up -> http://rapidshare.com/files/205840515/episodic_1.rar
    4.Play

    This should allow you to play Independance campaign. I haven't played past Episode 2, but Montreal/Quebec DO appear.

    Super detailed install instructions: I hope it is clear enough to help out!

    What you need:

    The game files or course.

    The real sound_fx files found on the internet or anywhere convenient.

    The repacked Crack from Razor.

    The episodic1.rar to fix a mission bug in the game

    Now you should be good to go.

    You should get 2 ISO images when all your stuff is extracted called DVD 1 and DVD 2.

    What you have to do is to extract the files inside those ISO’s, use ISObuster or any other iso image program and extract all the files from these 2 iso images in a unique folder somewhere on your hard drive. Do not mount them with alcohol or deamon tools it is a waste of time.

    Once the extraction of both dvd’s is done inside the same folder on the hard drive, copy the content of this folder into the Temp directory of your Hard drive which is normally this path.

    C:\Documents and Settings\-\Local Settings\Temp

    For your knowledge, the minus bar in the path represents your account name on your pc, as you can see the bar is my account name yours could be anything as example below.

    C:\Documents and Settings\Elvis\Local Settings\Temp

    If you want to go to the temp folder by clicking and navigating to it, you may have to enable show hidden folders options to get to the folder without typing the path.

    To do this, you go on tool then folder options a new window will pop up then you click on the view tab. You scroll down just a bit and you are gonna see hidden files and folder and you are just gonna turn on show hidden files and folders. You will now be able to see all the hidden folders on your hard drive and get to that temp folder.

    The reason why you are doing all of this is that you will not get the stop error message that the Razor installer will give you if you do not have the game files in all the same folder. It just saves aggravation on the install.

    Once the files are all copied to that folder you can get back to the original folder you extracted all those files too and click and the setup.exe ( the pirate icon)

    The razor installer will open, it may take some time as it has to install over 15 gb of stuff on your hard drive…it is time to go take a beer, have sex, listen to music, do drugs or surf for more pirate crap.

    Once the install is over, the razor window will simply go away.

    Delete the games files in the temp folder they are now worthless…

    Game is installed, time to fix and crack!

    Take the real sound_fx file you have downloaded it should be close or just a little bit over 819 mb, copy and paste into the Data folder where you have installed the game on your hard drive which should be this folder C:\Program Files\Empire Total War if you are using windows xp that is…

    That part is done. You have fixed the sound issue in the game.

    Now to crack the game.

    You have to put in the razor crack which is the tricky part of the deal…but it ends up being real simple when you finally understand how it is done.

    Unrar or unzip Razor’s crack on your hard drive somewhere. Do not unzip/unrar where you have installed your game, it will probably confuse you when you move the files around. Extract the razor crack in your documents folder instead…

    You should now get a Razor1911 folder after extraction

    Inside that folder you should have the following:

    A folder named: config

    A folder named : Data

    An executable named: Empire.exe

    What you need to do is this.

    First you need to take the Empire.exe executable and put it in the install folder which should be this C:\Program Files\Empire Total War on your hard drive.

    Then you put the config folder also in that C:\Program Files\Empire Total War folder.

    Then you go inside the Data folder, copy all those files in there and put them in the Data folder which is located at C:\Program Files\Empire Total War\data. It is going to ask you to overwrite stuff…just say yes.

    Game is cracked! You should not get those steamapi.dll error message…

    Now to fix a mission bug in the game:

    Unzip/Unrar the episodic file somewhere on your hard drive.

    You will get a folder called episodic_1

    Copy this folder.

    Go to the folder where you have installed the game: C:\Program Files\Empire Total War

    You need to put this folder here.

    C:\Program Files\Empire Total War\data\campaigns

    Again It is going to ask you to overwrite stuff and you just say yes.

    After doing all of this I went back to the install folder and clicked on the execute and the game popped up. Strangely enough I did not have to have steam on for this to happen. I have tested this with steam on with a bogus account and with steam off and it works.

    I have not really have play tested the game for bugs since I have just finished the install and this tutorial which I hope will help.

    I am sure that some other stuff will come up with the game but for now this is the steps to fix what has happened so far.

    open the scripting.lua file in data\campaigns\episodic_3\

    search for "shroud_3_hud_gone"

    there are some extra brackets and dashes around here that mess up the coding

    i forget exactly where the error is, so i've posted a bit extra:

    Ok jo, nice guide. But where can I get "The repacked Crack from Razor."??

    & what is exactly the size of sounds_sfx.pack? i download it from #265, and i got 799 MB. Is it the real thing or from demo?
