Elizabeth The Golden Age 2007 R5 XviD-DPK

An unknown group DPK released an R5 rip of Elilzabeth: The Golden Age. This medieval drama starring Cate Blanchett in one of the main roles enjoys a great deal of popularity and high ratings from both critics and movie fans. There’s one small problem with this R5 release though: the audio is ONLY Russian, and there are not even English subtitles, so it’s basically useless for anyone living outside of Russia. The image quality is great, but most people will probably wait for some proper English rip. Is it such a hassle to put word “russian” in the release name?

Reprising the roles they originated in seven-time Academy Award®-nominated “Elizabeth,” Cate Blanchett and Geoffrey Rush return for a gripping historical thriller laced with treachery and romance–”The Golden Age.” Joining them in the epic is Clive Owen as Sir Walter Raleigh, a dashing seafarer and newfound temptation for Elizabeth.

“The Golden Age” finds Queen Elizabeth I (Oscar®-winner Cate Blanchett) facing bloodlust for her throne and familial betrayal. Growing keenly aware of the changing religious and political tides of late 16th century Europe, Elizabeth finds her rule openly challenged by the Spanish King Philip II (Jordi Molla)–with his powerful army and sea-dominating armada–determined to restore England to Catholicism.

    Whinge, whinge, whinge!

R5 is the term that was given to Russian dvd releases by PUKKA (or another group, I can’t remember?) a year or so ago. Sure it’s in Russian, that’s what they speak in Russia!

Look on the bright side. If you were looking forward to seeing a decent copy of the movie, then you know that the Russian dvd has finally been released and a Line copy should be arriving soon.

WHAT a useless piece of crap. I don’t get the point of posting this here at all.
And why on earth would I want to subject myself to 110 minutes of the most repugnant language on earth? And on a DUBBED ENGLISH film?
Who dubs films anyway? Only countries with a large population of illiterates who can’t read subs. Seriously.
    *hurl*

No offense, but I remember a time where virtually every foreign film was dubbed into English for the American/English market.

It does serve a purpose for being here. It gives everyone a chance to have a good old whinge about it being dubbed into Russian. Why doesn’t someone just release some english subbies so all of us “litirate” folk can just read what is said? :)

No problem with Russian language, though downloaded this movie to see with others only to find out that I am the only one able to understand.

Anyway, I do prefer movies with original audio. Probably, RLSLOG should have put it in bold or red color that the release language differs from original.

@114: This is not correct subs, adjustment necessary.
