have you ever noticed that microsoft is being in our lives more then ever day by day? First all of us were using Winamp,VLC and now lots of us using Windows Media Player and WMP Classic… so i think microsoft growing in Media Players day by day.. I Dont like the vision of vlc player but its really good.

New convert here for GOM Media Player, former user of VLC Media player.

GOM Pros:
1.)only 5mb.
2.)Quick installation
3.)Quick loading
4.)Nice skins more professional
5.)Plays DivX, avi's very good
5.)Plays Matroska audio/video container format (.mkv)

– The movie i downloaded is in .mkv format
– Played the whole movie in VLC, video is very good BUT
sometimes the video suddenly STAND STILL (about 3 seconds average). Sound still continues. then all of a sudden the video back to normal. I wonder? So i searched for a VLC alternative.

– Also liked the video timeline bar that auto pop ups and auto hide at the bottom.
– Almost same hotkeys, navigation controls as VLC.
– Also plays 3gp videos with sounds, unlike VLC no sound.

This will be my new video player. Hope this helps to others

vlc is great, it just doesnt waste time with unnecessary, sparkly interface.

Doesn't work…

Installs perfectly alright but you can't get out of demo. The code used by the key generating keeps saying 'invalid serial number'

VLC is nice..but that was years ago, as I followed all the versions, It's now a part of my "slow-loading program list" just like WinaAmp, and now been replaced by FooBar. Go get GOM, Media Player Classic and MPLAYER for Windows. You'll be delighted how these proggies load super fast and plays without any problems, just my two cents..
