In these times were HD starts to rule the Internetzz, I think this might come in handy! Atm I still use VLC for all my HD stuff, but maybe this one is a bit better for playing High Def files. Enjoy!

    Better than media player for play back, an has lots of features and refinements but the quality sucks big time against the Beta version of Splash2.

    Have to wonder who would use this? VLC or MPC do everything already. And for die hard Windows Media Player users, ffdshow + Matroska splitters do a fine job already also.

    I have to get this purely for the "new exclusive skin".

    That's a selling point if I ever did see one. Why should I bother using my trusty MPC and k-lite combo if it doesn't have a "new exclusive skin"? :D

    lol this player is so bad and costs so much!

    btw. someone said vlc does avchd? maybe as a slideshow lol.
    vlc sucks. Splash from mirillis is the best free player at the moment, hope it will be release as full version soon.

    How can i activate "best quality"? This function is disable for me.

    i got beta 2 and best quality is available for windows vista only and not in video overlay mode.

    in beta 3 it is supposed to be available under xp and in overlay mode too – we will see.

    anyway this is great mode. makes 1080i videos much smoother and this really makes a difference.
