Yeah but how does this compare to ConvertXtoDvd3? From what I’ve found, XtoDVD has become a benchmark to compare all others to, at least at the consumer level.

So does anyone know how this app compares? Speed? Audio sync issues? Anything else?

I had an earlier version, it is nice and easy, but i thought it was sort of slow. I got that Convert XtoDVD and its also easy but faster….A 700 mb avi off the net took about an hour with Easy and about 40 min with Convert……That was with just a main menu with no scenes….much longer when you add the fancy stuff……………IN MY MOST HUMBLE of opinions

You’ve gotta laugh – people who crack and steal others’ software and then complain when someone “steals” their releases. Grow up why don’t you. We are all here for free software – where does it matter where its downloaded from – the scene gets their kudos from their messages in the info file.

Ok so people agree XtoDVD3 is faster and more stable?

And yes I’ve used DVD Flick, but I had some audio track sync issues with the final burned DVD when encoding .avi to DVD. Also, if I remember right, DVD Flick was really strict with how much you could pack into one DVD. It seems like it wouldn’t scale two avi’s down on bitrate enough to fit two movies on one DVD disc like XtoDVD3 does…

XtoDVD3 by KO. It has it all, speed, easy to use and alot of options. We can add subtitles and last week I burned a dvd with 2 audios tracks in it, by ripping the audio from a movie in another language and adding the track to the english version using XtoDVD3. It does it all.

    The funny thing about Rlslog:
    They don’t supply the torrents
    They don’t supply the tracker
They don’t supply RS download links
    They don’t supply mirrors
They just post a notice: ‘XY is out’ and at best a link to someone’s torrent, AFTER it has been posted on other sites like *blocked by martin* or http://irfree.com

Than all the fanboys jump in the comments asking for RS links or torrents… guess what, the stuff you get here in the comments is content that other sites provided… but instead of visiting the original sites you’re flaunting how awesome rlslog is… funny if you think about it… isn’t it… (no, not really :( )

Will this burn movies > 5Gb to a second DVD?

    August 13th, 2008 | 05:19

@james: Yes it will. In regards of burning capabilities it has everything that Nero has. It is an all around complete BurningSuit that will offer you everything you need. Please make sure to check my fresh RS.com links, thx.

I’ve used Easy DVD Creator before and while it works, it’s rather limited. There is no option that I could find to limit the output to 4.5GB. I told it to write the files to the HD so that I could burn them later and with a 2CD release, it made about 8GB worth of files. When I contacted the author and asked why you couldn’t specify the output size, he recommended that I use some other DVD copy program by him, to burn the files to a 4.5GB blank. In effect, use a DVD copy program to shrink the files, like using DVD Shrink.

    @ the scene
As far as I understand, rlslog is an information aggregator; They’re note there to be first with information, but to propose a reasonably broad spectrum of releases that are likely to interest their target audience. This is about business models, period.

Big Buddy do a search on this site.. there are 2 or 3 links to convertx2dvd.

As for RLSlog.. These guys rock. They don’t post a lot of spammy virused Denis.Stalker tracked crap,They don’t post about movies that look like a piece of crap.. with the exception of the occasional first released cam for those who are desperate. They always give credit where it is do.

As far as the comments on people whining about others re-releasing cracked or ripped data under the other persons banner and claiming it’s theirs.. Remember the old saying
“There is no honor, Among thieves.” Live with it, deal with it and grow up or go stand in the corner ya big babies.
