    I watched the R5 of this, I thought I enjoyed it. Having a think about it later though, I dont really know why.
    Not that much really happened in it to be honest, hopefully the subs are sorted out now, as that didnt help either.

    Just another reason to ignore Imdb, its not worth 8 thats for sure.

    Saw this film long ago, and can’t say I enjoyed it like everyone says. Too much talking and too little action IMO.

    Im not just on about action. But without any spoilers, nothing happened that you cared about. It was hard to get any feeling for any of the characters, I just thought it was a bit empty, and why speak half english / half russian all the time. That annoyed me as well.

    Nah – The Godfather films were quality. This is not even close.
    Slow lumbering script, with blokes wearing sunglasses through the day to make them look scary.

    Who exactly was good in it, if its because they sounded great with their accents, then no thanks. Ok you do not need to see lots of gore and the likes, the fight scene is genuinely scary, but the rest of the film plods along.

    37 and 41. Yes I saw a gun on first take as well. (The pic is also mildly phallic). Thought it interesting that the photo shown is a studio photo put out for promotional purposes. Guns sell movie tickets. And to my recollection, Viggo does not hold a gun in the whole movie. …Could it be that the studio is trying to portray the film as something a little different? ….Something to think about.

    Great movie though. Understated but compelling.

    Nearly everybody has like a minimum of 8MB broadband connection. The US and a few countries in the EU have like 16MB I’m sure. (So much for the UK, biggest western broadband craphole.) Anyway, there is loads of bandwidth to get files down nice and quick.

    Not only is the downloading process quicker now, but I’m sure a lot of people just burn the avi’s to DVD and watch them that way. But those who use their PC monitors will most likely have resolutions greater than 1024 x 768 now. The current res of rips are now going to look tiny and a little blurred when full screen.

    DVDR is usually around 4000-5000kbps not sure about the resoltuion iv only got 2 dvdr in the last year and neither nfo says the size

    I thought this was movie could have evolved much more, and that the action could have been much more than it was. The fight scene in this movie was awesome. I gotta say if you don’t like the movie at least watch the fight scene. I think they could make a sequel to this.

    I am confused about the subs – whats the difference between soft subs and hardcoded subs? I have done as Brett suggested but cannot see anywhere in the FAQ’s anything about subs, so have to ask here.

    The cocain R5 subs just had the non-english parts dubbed, but the subs for the diamond release is for the entire film. Is there a sub file we can add to the movie just for the non-english parts? I tried adding the cocain .srt file to the film but it was out of sync and i dont know how to change the timing of the file in Quicktime.

    Thanks for any help.
