Guys from group COCAIN added a tiny file for those people who downloaded their R5 rip of Eastern Promises, an amazing thriller from David Cronenberg. A common complaint of users who can’t understand English that good is that there are no subtitles packed within these R5 rips. This subfix contains Eng subs only for Russian spoken parts of the movie, so you will have to probably wait for dvdrip if you really need classic subtitles for the whole movie…

You cant add the subtitles to an avi in convertxtodvd,,,, you’ll need to use something like virtual dub & vobsub.

uhh yes u can add subs using covert x to dvd, just right click on the bit where it says subtitle stream and click add subtitle channel. if they are both named identically and in the same folder it will pick them up automatically.

Yeah, I have NERO and it won’t allow you to add an .srt file. ConvertXtoDVD leaves a watermark on the video on the trial version unless you buy the program, kind of defeats the purpose. Is there another program that’s free that will encode the avi file and the srt file together so I’ll be able to see the ENGLISH subs during the RUSSIAN dialog? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Or perhaps somebody has the movie where they’ve already done this and it’s posted somewhere. A link to that torrent site would also be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU for your anticipated help.

To hardsub the avi with .srt files you can use Auto Gordian Knot..
Press ctrl+F8 to put external subtitle in the program…

use avi re comp & virtualdub to hardcode the subs
you can download a program called TMPGEnc and this will burn the subs onto the avi and then burn this avi with Nero.

Only for those of you that doesn`t know this.
If U want to see the movie on your computer just do this:
1. Download VLC media player, (works on everything!).
2. Press File, Open file, (Ctrl-F)
3. Tick off: Use a subtitles file
4. Choose the un-rared file from this article: (.srt)
5. Choose your video file in the box above
6. Click OK — and your good to go
It`s that easy.

last axxo dvdrip was on 11 nov
just use winAVI video converter…select the avi file and than say “dvd” output and go to advanced settings and you can add the subtitle file in there and convert to a dvd file.

For everybody who is unsure of how to add the subs, Simply Extract the rar files. Then drop the subs file into the extracted folder and extract the rest of the rar files inside the folder. The subs will now be coded into the avi file which you can play on any media player or burn with your prefered software to DVD, either way the subs are on the movie now. Awsome post by the way been waiting for this movie.
