Eastbound and Down S01 DVDRip XviD-REWARD

After “Entourage” season 5, REWARD started to release another TV pack, which is HBO’s freshman series “Eastbound and Down”. The are only 6 episodes for season 1, but the show has been renewed for a sophomore year. Enjoy another good pack from REWARD.

(UPDATE: Sorry forgetting to update, now everything is out, all six episodes, SUBPACK & EXTRA)

“Eastbound and Down” benefits from some big league talent. Will Ferrell, who helped get “The Foot Fist Way” into theatres, appears as a car salesman who wants to exploit what’s left of Powers’ celebrity with predictably disastrous results. Episodes were directed by McBride collaborator Jody Hill, David Gordon Green, and Ferrell’s partner in comedy, Adam McKay. There are other obnoxious characters on television, but Kenny Powers is in a league of his own, and he may take some warming up to. But McBride imbues this extreme character with an uncompromised integrity that is oddly admirable. Despite what his brother tells him at one point, Powers is someone you like being around.

    I almost missed this when it first aired. I was scrollin' down RLSLOG's page one Sunday night and spotted Danny McBride's face. I had just seen Pineapple Express and loved the dude, thought he was hysterical. I downloaded the episode even though there was practically no feedback on the page and I hadn't heard anything about it.

    I was instantly hooked. I started spreading the word to friends, and online. It's turned into quite a cult sensation. I heard two guys in a college class a few months later talking about "Kenny Powers" and I was impressed.

    Definitely buy the DVD, don't just download it…HBO was on the fence and almost didn't renew it for a second season, and the more people who take interest, the more likely they are to continue extending it for subsequent seasons.

    fantastic show. I would say by the end of the season it's part comedy and part drama – although I do personally hate to pigeonhole shows into specific genres and I think generally the best ones are those that blur that distinct line.

    Anyways, the show stars Danny McBridge (pictured) who does one of the best portrayals of a Southener I have ever seen. He's a washed up baseball player that comes back to his old town to take up a position as a PE coach.

    It's part funny because he's so deluded by his own sense of grandeur and also because of the utterly hilarious things that he says and does – remember that this is HBO, so anything goes with respect to censorship.

    The show, like all other HBO shows, is best watched as a narrative – it's not like the traditional sitcom where things reset after every episode (two and a half men) – but at least check out the first episode, there's a host of hilarious co-stars and guests like Will Ferrell, Craig Robinson and of course Stevie "Janowski" Little and Andrew Daly as Principle Cutler.

    I agree… got all but ep6 as well. I've been hawking SceneDll (which had the links first), but they don't have it either. Let's see if Rlslog can beat them to it.

    I'm beginning to wonder if REWARD released episode 6. Can find first 5 eps. without a problem, but no one seems to know anything about #6.

    If anyone could help, or has the release (or link), it would be much appreciated for the DVDRip link. I'd appreciate the DVDRip vs. the HDTV, as my sub-pack is meant for those.
