CHiCNCREAM just pre’d two products: Earthview and EarthTime. Both of them got to do,guess what, with the Earth. View gives you a dynamic background wallpaper and Time gives you the time in different cities around the globe.

Description View: EarthView is a dynamic desktop wallpaper and screen saver, which displays beautiful views of the earth with daylight and night shadows. It produces colorful, high quality, high resolution images for every screen resolution – even beyond 1600×1200! The program supports map and globe views, urban areas, city lights, atmospheric effects, clouds, local time display and much more. EarthView supports different maps that show our planet earth in different ways, like photographic or artistic. Many options allow total customization of all view parameters. EarthView has won many awards for its absolutely breathtaking images.

EarthView supports four different beautiful maps of the earth, starting at 10 km resolution, which means that at 100% zoom level, 1 pixel on your screen equals 10 kilometers on earth. If you purchase the full version, you’ll get the possibility to download even more detailed versions of some maps, which have higher resolution. This means, they have much more detail, so you can zoom in even further!

Description Time: EarthTime displays the local time and date of any place in the world. It has a built-in database of more than 3000 cities worldwide but users can add any number of custom locations. Alarms can be set on the local time of any city in the world. Many options allow flexible customization.

    last time I downloaded this there was a major virus in it.. so I am keeping away.. I had norton 360 and it didn’t show up til I restarted my computer

    I keep seeing this program getting released, but never with the hi-res images that are needed to make it worth having. The default images that come with the program are low-res. I think it’s a waste of time having this if you don’t have the hi-res images.
