DVDRip DooM [5th of July '08]
Well, I didn’t know what else to call this, so I went with something which sounds like its straight out of a game show or something. Since a lot of rather unknown DVDRips were released today (today depending on which timezone you’re in), it’s a lot easier to throw them all together into one post, so here we go.
Valentinas.Tango.2007.DVDRip.XviD-VoMiT
Movies and Tango? Somehow this reminds me of Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere. Not sure if thats a good thing or not. In any case, VoMiT bring the low budget films like usual. The genre on IMDB says this is a Thriller, but the synopsis clearly states it as a comedy/drama, so I suppose you can expect a bit from every angle.
A dark comedy / drama of a womans decent into maddness by love. Family and loved ones try to save her but but are sucked into the maddness with her. Greek tragedy mixed with farce tells this tale of passion love and lust.
Valentina’s (Guillermina Quiriga) precarious mental state hangs in the balance as this film about love and obsession unfolds. The unfortunate Valentina finds some relief by dancing the tango, but her delusional mindset threatens to engulf her as she becomes dangerously fixated on her husband.

Here’s something in a completely different tone from the film above. Its Christian Comedy, which sounds like hell to me. Its a tour with several different standup comedians in the USA. The description of the film just makes it seem like a nightmare, but the guy who’s workin’ the sample pulls a pretty decent joke about a tornado. Everyone needs a bit of standup comedy every once in a while. If you want some truly funny stuff, I recommend getting stuff like Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Eddie Izzard and so on, but then again I’m a sucker for British comedy. Enjoy.

Planted.Evidence.2008.PROPER.DVDRip.XviD-VoMiT
DOMiNO release of this film (Planted Evidence 2008 STV DVDRip XviD-DOMiNO) was nuked for unneeded ivtc, so here is a proper from VoMiT. All in all this seems to be a horrible film. It was described as “Brainless” by a reviewer on IMDB and has a 3.3 rating. Needless to say I don’t think many people will be getting this one, but do watch the trailer, its pretty hilarious.
Six partners of a firm discover the dead body of an associate the morning after their weekly card game. Panicked and with no clue as to who could have committed the murder, they decide to bury the body in order to keep the secret between them and ensuring that nobody will have to take the fall. To their shock, they are soon contacted by a mysterious stranger – who possesses a videotape of the burial – and become the targets of a diabolical extortion plot.

Sean Penn kept speaking at Coachella this year, pleading with people to drop what they were doing and join him on some bus that was going to tour around the country spreading his message. I wished for him to collapse from heat stroke everytime I heard his voice polluting the desert air.

And to point out the gaping holes in it, I’ll just have to remind you that a guy playing westerns and advertising shampoos as well as being the star in “terminating” office blockbusters is more than likely to be greeted and risen from within the politics ranks, especially the Republicans. How can you even comment on this release when you quite obviously haven’t even watched it. If you have, you would realise Sean Penn hardly says anything in it. The majority of it is made up of interviews and real footage of people like G W Bush (and father), Bill Clinton, Colin Powell, Richard Nixon, Donald Rumsfeld, and others. It’s not a documentary about Sean Penn, it’s about the comparisons between both the Vietnam and Iraq wars, amongst other things, and the propaganda and spin used by government and media then and now.
At the end of the day who cares what known or unknown person is narrating it. It’s the documentary that matters, not the person reading the script.
I personaly think you should just watch it before you comment, rather than putting across your unnessecary opinion based on a name on a poster or dvd image.
If you actually watched it, then realised Sean Penn speaks very little throught the whole thing, you may infact have a different view. Your personal opinion on a narrator should have no importance to the release itself.
In future i would rather see a review of the release than you calling someone a douchebag because they say a few words off a script on a very decent and well worth watching documentary.

I think this is a good convincing piece after watching it. This is not a michael moore style documentary. It’s not trying to appeal only to emotion. It rationally presents its arguments and then looks to history and examines the parallels of US military action over the last 50 years or so.

He actually asked specifically young people that at that time didn’t have real plans and weren’t furthering themselves. They called it ‘the dirty hands caraven’ because it was about DOING something, getting their hands dirty instead of theorizing. Funny, reminds me of Jesus ‘Thou shall recognize them by their deeds, not their words’. It was about a few weeks time, most of them to be spent working in New Orleans.
I’d like to hear of people that actually went along. I don’t know any. Has anybody read first-hand notes or reports on the net?
War Made Easy is an AMAZING documentary and everyone should watch it, regardless of your opinion of Sean Penn.
What’s the big deal with calling actors in politics douchebags? Are you guys that in love with Sean Penn’s nuts? He’s just like George Clooney trying to say that Hollywood was responsible for the Civil Rights Movement. Also, its EXTREMELY EASY for a bunch of FILTHY, ENDLESSLY rich people to stand there and lecture about using bikes instead of cars to save the planet, and not to pirate movies because billionaire actors have it so tough. No matter how many people listen and use bikes, they will still be cruising around in limos.

People hate the US for all types of ignorant reasons. The hate started long before we ever stepped foot into the geopolitical landscape. The French swindled and threw food at young GI’s who just freed their country in 1945-46.
We as Americans never wanted to be world police, but after WW2 and the decline of the British Em[ire before that, their was a major power vacuum. It was either us or the Soviets, and the world sided with us.
The fact is, the US provides more then half of all food aid. We respond to every single natural catastrophe, whether it be in China, or Iran. No other country does more for the world. We rebuilt European cities after WW2. Rebuilt the railways of Europe. Propped up currencies like the Franc when it was worth more as tinder.
You can go back 150 years and see that no other country has selflessly done more for other countries and the people of this world as a whole. If you don’t see it that way, then you are ignorant of the facts, or unable to think with emotion clouding whatever judgment you have in your pea brain.
