I’m using Win7 64-bit and 32GB RAM. Anyone can confirm these games will work on 64-bit platform with crazy amount of RAM installed?

I have Baldur’s Gate II, IceWind Dale series and Temple of Elemental Evil, and last time I tried, the games refused to run on my rig. Not sure with Planescape Torment though (don’t have that).

works or not, I thank theta from here for not forgetting such titles. =)

Most of those(all probably) games received patches for newer OS compatibility.

Recently I played BG II on my Win7 x64 rig and it worked just fine so don’t worry, just download and let ourselves sink once again in most epic stories ever told in the history of PC gaming.

    Arcanum?

I have a feeling these are from GOG.com. If they are – they run on Win7 and they are English-only.

JT: Temple of Elemental Evil requires ToEE Front-End X. the rest (a.k.a. Infinity Engine games) generally run like a charm, however, PST and IWD2 has graphical errors with newer (8xxx series+) nvidia cards.

    @ CalverKelevra

For old games that use DirectX8 or older, there’s a meaningless workaround for graphical corruption.

For example using Windows7, you rightclick on desktop and choose “Screen Resolution”. From that window choose “Advanced Settings” and then click “List All Modes” under the “Adapter” tab. If you start your game when that window is open, you will not have graphical glitches. I have no idea how it happens.

@baldur: the problem AFAIK is with directx renderer – other IE games use OpenGL, which works fine. directx does not, and messes up fog of war. I don’t have any of the games installed right now, but I’ll be sure to try your fix when I do.

This is from Gamersgate not GOG. I know because I already bought it when they had a good sale lately.

what a joke, no wonder theta is never going to be a scene group and always a p2p group, releasing old crap that Atari throws together to make new sales on. THETA you gonn package up the Neverwinter Nights one too?! Yes peeps there was this and a NWN pack released a couple months ago, I bought em from amazon months ago!

Also there is nothing new on the dvd, they are the latest updates and games you could buy before. Better to just get te gog versions.

Mo RPG-Gamer you have to get all the mods yourself, its a useless release for peeps if you have them from before.

To all who replied to my question,

Thanks, guys! I learnt a lot from you all, especially with Temple of Elemental Evil’s Win7 64-bit workaround. Cheers! xD

    @Jahova Jon
Come on, mate! You don’t need to complain about anything if you already own the games. Just pass and let others who want them grab the stuff. I own BD series, ID series and ToEE but still I think this is a good release nevertheless. :)

OK so how do we burn this to DVDs? I can’t split the files into 2 discs. When I try to install, it keeps asking for installation dvd #2.

It would have been nice if someone could have split this into one DVD9 and one DVD5 discs.
