Description: Developed by Trendy Entertainment, Dungeon Defenders throws action-RPG and tower defense gameplay into the proverbial blender to create a seamless mix of leveling, looting and high-action territorial combat for casual and core players alike. Dungeon Defenders features a lovingly-rendered watercolor art style and allows up to 4 players, online or locally, to take one of four distinct classes into fierce battle against ever-increasing waves of baddies and bosses across 15 arenas and multiple modes.

  • 4-player Online and Local Co-Op – Team-up with up to 3 friends to defend cooperatively, with character classes that support each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Dynamically combine local (splitscreen) and online players and leave/join any time, so that the game’s always full.

  • Tons of Enemies and Huge Boss Fights – Over 100 simultaneous enemies will attempt to tear through your defenses and gigantic Boss Monsters will appear to rain down havoc upon everyone.
  • Mission & Game Play Variety – Each level has a different visual setting, layout, enemy types, traps, and distinct surprises. To collect all the loot and reach the highest levels you must take your character through 4 difficulty modes, survival missions, challenge maps, and more!
  • Collect and Trade Pets Online – A variety of pets exist to assist you in the land of Etheria, each with distinct behaviors. These pets can be leveled-up and customized to match your unique play-style. They can even be traded online with other players!
  • A Mountain of Stats – Every shot you take, kill you make, and defense you build is logged and recorded for posterity.

    Thanks skidrow for the release, but after playing I found out its not working as it should be..

    ingame sound is missing (intro sound is there)
    cant get rid of messages (makes tutorial unplayable?)

    waiting for proper/update…
    unless the money transfer from paypal is faster, definitley worth a buy in my opinion

    I have a PROBLEM guys, need help: When i do “local game” and i create an hero, i play for some time, make some dungeons, level up, all works fine BUT if i return to main menu and exit game, i see the game dont save my progress.

    If i restart the game i have no heroes, no dungeons unlocked….game is like new.

    It’s just me or this game dont save progress?

    Don’t be an idiot please, there is no info in latest patch and there is no way to get this working if you put the entire folder and replace everything like we did.

    My PC has, and will always run every Unreal Engine 3 game ever, it’s that powerful, Win 7 x64, running as admin, it always crashes.

    I blame a really bad crack.

    Game starting crashing at launch AFTER I installed the Theta update, for some reason. I’m gonna go and download Theta’s full release to see if I can just reinstall (and Theta’s version also comes with a third DLC, the Dragon Pet)…

    Also, does anyone know where the save location is? I wanna back up my saves before I reinstall, just in case…

    Also, here are the changes in THETA’s update, FYI (but if you installed this SKIDROW version, I wouldn’t install the THETA update, it made it crash for me). There is a full release from THETA out there, though…

    Changes:
    - Fixed “no sounds” bug with 7.1 speaker setup
    - Added Invert mouse to in-game options
    - “Disable sound” option in Configuration tool now works
    - Less online disconnections, made timeouts more forgiving

    - Fixes an issue where the configuration tool key bindings weren’t saving
    - Fixes the chat box not appearing when Tab was pressed (or whatever key was bound to it by the user)

    its because of the 7.1 speaker setup i have, the developper fixxed in patch, which theta released i think

    Listen. Do not use Theta updates with Skidrow. The result will be crashing. Use the theta updates ONLY with the Theta release. I can confirm this.

    Also, don’t be too panicked about getting this working. A lot of people – including those who bought the game too – are experiencing saving issues. Not much point until this is fixed – unless you’re lucky and aren’t experiencing this (I am :( )

    Save games for the SKIDROW release are stored in:

    C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\SKIDROW\65800\Storage\dundefheroes.dun

    but for the THETA release, you have to put that file in:

    X:\Dungeon Defenders\Binaries\Win32

    Anybody having problems with saving with the THETA version, I found that I fixed it by installing the base version, completing a level and then exiting and installing the update.

    THETA updates can’t be used with SKIDRIW release
    The game crashes from the very beginning if you do…

    so you either wait for SKIDROW to release the updates or you donwload the THETA release of the game

    @ 145, no you’re dumb.

    You guys should have read Raven’s post @ 108.

    Do not install Skidrow version and crack it with Theta.
    It will crash and you wont be able to update it.

    Either play the SKIDROW version or THETA version.

    (Note: I have not applied any patches yet)
    Multiplayer LAN works great. I played with 3 other friends for many hours and we had no problems.

    To play on LAN:
    1. Select gamespy in the startup options screen.
    2. Hit “Play Online”.
    3. Hit “Open” mode.
    4. Select your hero.
    5. Hit “Play LAN Games”.
    6. Hit “Custom Match”.

    You should see the game listed now, or host by hitting the “host” button.

    I know that this is really old now but for those having problems with saving and still using this version do the following before playing:

    1. right click install folder
    2. properties
    3. take Read-Only off
    4. run dungeondefenders.exe

    this must be done each time.

    Also, you can update this to the theta version but you need to remove the skidrow cracked files.
