We don’t have a Swedish films here at RLSLOG every day, but this will be a nice exception: Du Levande (English title “You, the Living”) is a highly acclaimed drama with some elements of comedy. Titled as film about the grandeur of existing, Du Levande won many awards at film festivals in Europe as well as North America. This fresh 1 CD release from group DnB features Swedish audio with English subtitles and classic mp3 audio.

Filmmaker Roy Andersson draws the viewer into the world of a woman whose most uplifting moments are always balanced by tragedy, and whose joy is constantly offset by sorrow. In laughing along at the good times and shedding a tear at the bad, the comic tragedy of life manifests itself in a manner that all can surely relate to.

    Swedish great oldies from the famous Swedish writer Wilhelm Moberg about those time in the early 1900 century when times in Sweden was really miserable and a lot of the Swedish humans was emigrating to the USA to build a new future when they was starving to death in Sweden.Maybe thats why there is a lot of Svanson and Svenson over there today. :)

    That’s a great movie!
    Watched it couple of days ago.

    It’s definitely kind of strange and has very specific sense of humour. But it’s worth watching! And keep your eyes open – there are lots of little but very meaningful details ;)

    And the absolutely crazy Swedish movies about the robberys,The Jonsson Gang who makes everything wrong.In the YouTube scene they have lost all there money from there latest robbery and there gang leader (Sickan) went completely mad and thought his shoe was a cute little cat ha ha ….     Not everyone’s cup of tea. But i really really enjoyed watching it. Character portrayals was so intense and you’ll definitely feel the warm of being alive with subtle scenes.

    Why not post Beck or Wallander. Highly recommended at least the first movies. Mikael Persbrandt as Gunvald Larsson is fun to see. One though bastard *L* Eller vad säger ni?

    Where could one get the subtitles?

    And a general question:
    Why don’t the uploaders oder scene people include them by default?
    Subtitles sure aren’t too big,
    and mentioned in all the .nfo files
    Is it due some unwritten scene law?

    i’d be delighted to know.

    Yeah, what’s with the subtitles? I’m one of many who simply will not watch a movie without subs, no matter how good the movie, or the rip.

    An srt file is only a few KBs! Also, rlslog could give us links as they do for torrents, imdb, etc… That’d be awesome! Come on lads, give us the subs!

    I’ve seen this movie a year ago and man I must say, this movie suck ass. It’s supposed to be a comedy, yet I’ve laughed zero times. Long, boring, uninteresting, download with caution.

    The .nfo file says Subs: Svenska, Norsk, Finish and English but they don’t exist!

    That’s nukin’ talk where I come from!

    Seriously, though, I love watching non-English language films – they should be encouraged to remind Hollywood and the like that the world is not Anglo-centric – and the absence of subtitles does nothing to challenge this concept.
