This application allows you to save, backup, restore all drivers required for your PC in just a few clicks. This is very useful … you don’t need to search for drivers every time you reinstall your Win. There are some fixes in this version: Support silent drivers restoration, Improve the stability of drivers restoration function, Fix a bug in driver update function, Update unknown devices database and drivers update database & other minor tweaks. Description:
Driver Magician offers a professional solution for device drivers backup, restoration, update and removal in Windows operating system. It identifies all the hardware in the system, extracts their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall/upgrade your operating system, you can restore all the “saved” drivers just as if you had the original driver diskettes in your hands. After one system reboot, your PC will be loaded and running with the required hardware drivers.

What’s more, Driver Magician has a built in database of the latest drivers with the ability to go to the Internet to receive the driver updates.       Not bad app for searching drivers, however it is not 100% reliable. Not any of the driver searching tools.

      But it can save you time with most of the drivers.

      Don’t blame it because a few drivers are not working.

      great app never searched for drivers with it, but i have used it to back up drivers on my friends computers and restored them after a reinstall. great app saves a lot of time.

      I’ve been using/building/repairing/working in computers for over 15 years, both on the software and hardware sides. This program backs up drivers well. I used it to update then on Vista x64 SP1 (which has been running beautiful after I turned off all useless junk…like aero, etc) and it ruined my kernel32.dll file and after a system restore did nothing but reboot. I attribute it to this program as I hadn’t installed ANYTHING or downloaded anything at all- no other factors. Keep in mind I do this as my profession- build/repair/maintain computers/networks. Junk. Junk. Junk. Get driver agent. Can’t afford it? Split the account with a friend or ten. Skip this and Driver Genie. Junk.

      Crashed my system also, updating chipset drivers for mother board, use with caution. I used it on three systems previously and it was great, and then I ran it on mine and had to do a complete re-install.

      I installed this (v3.30) about a month ago on my Windows XP SP3 laptop and backed up my drivers.
      Although I haven’t re-installed windows & restored my drivers, I’ve had no problems with my laptop so far.
      Oh, keep in mind that I’ve been using/repairing/working with computers for 27 years.
      ;-)
