If you’re a true PC geek and you need to reinstall your windows several times per year (or months?) because of whatever reason, you know that after fresh win install, installing drivers one-by-one is pain in ass. But not anymore! Why? Read on!

Description:

Driver Magician offers a professional solution for device drivers backup, restoration, update and removal in Windows operating system. It identifies all the hardware in the system, extracts their associated drivers from the hard disk and backs them up to a location of your choice. Then when you format and reinstall/upgrade your operating system, you can restore all the “saved” drivers just as if you had the original driver diskettes in your hands. After one system reboot, your PC will be loaded and running with the required hardware drivers.

What’s more, Driver Magician has a built in database of the latest drivers with the ability to go to the Internet to receive the driver updates. It saves lots of time to find the correct drivers and mature drivers will obviously increase the performance of hardware. If there are unknown devices in your PC, Driver Magician helps you detect them easily and quickly with its built in hardware identifier database.

    Driver Genius Pro has been out longer and always works. Try both, probably identical.

    Pretty lame on unusual drivers. If its not mega main-stream, this aint gonna find it. Qouldnt even find a generic GIGABYTE wireless pci card that came with my mobo.

    So, really, this is only any good for getting drivers that you can find PISS EASY from the manufacturer’s site ANYWAY… hmm

    This is really a fantastic little peice of software. I’ve been using it for a while now. I’ve used it a few times on 3/4 different laptops and various other ppls pcs.

    Should use it on my own pc when I do a fresh instal, cause it allways downloads some intel/amd CPU update or something along those lines (when I install on others pc), but I allways install the drivers manually on my own PC and never know about what extra drivers I ’should’ install. So I’m guessing that even after all these years I’m still not installing the proper stuff on my main PC :- P

    Go to the nfo and download the redistributable from microsoft site if your keygen doesnt work.

    I downloaded from the rapidshare link, and the keygen.exe doesn’t work, in the .nfo file says something about a core10k.exe file, it is missing. So… I’m downloading from torrent.
    Speaking of the program I’m interested in the detect unknow devices thing, cos’ Driver Genius Pro and other can’t detect unknow devices, only update them.

    You guys can try this other software called Driver Collector. It’s free, only 72KB and doesn’t need to install. Just run it off the exe :) So far works ok for me.

    Awesome program. Works like a charm after I DLed the redistributable C++ file @MS mentioned in the *.nfo file. Backed up my non-MS driver in a minute with at total space of about 40 MB in one sfx zip file.

    im a newby to all this can someone please tell me what does the above actually mean to get the program working “Go to the nfo and download the redistributable from microsoft site if your keygen doesnt work.”
