Has anyone actually tried this app? Is it really any good?
Btw, does it update the drivers without the need for registration? Lots of programs like this make a search for outdated drivers but need to be registered in order to update them. crack or code anyone?

Just tried it and works fine with the crack (read nfo). This found 16 drivers in need of update on my laptop.
found 22 drivers mostly IDE,USB system stuff
Do NOT use this software! I did and my whole computer got almost completely mixed up! I was able to boot my computer with "last working system" -option..and then took a restore point from yesterday and THANK GOD now I can use my computer again! So users, beware! If you let this program update, let it update those not-so-critical hardwares. No IDE, SATA, etc. And it seems that it doesn't like Vista either very much…

this program blows in vista, it tried updateing my nividia software 3 different times, and after it uninstalled said drivers, it took windows update the reinstall them
total of 3 attempts and 6 reboots, and accomplished absolutely nothing, but a roll back and manual reinstall of the drivers
useless program, also froze up on the first attempt, second attempt I gave it administrator rights
I have to agree with you, this is THE most useless program I have ever tried…Sure it can scan and show you what needs to be fixed/updated, but for the love of God, don't let the program do the job for you…Tried it on several confs wih different OS' installed… Always the same… Unsigned drivers that don't pass inspection, and approx an hour of work restoring everything. Cheers.

Program is very good.but you have to put program into the exeptions in firewall and Antivirus driverchecker.exe and update.exe.

I am going to have nightmares for the rest of my life! :S I think this software is only good to have clues on what YOU should update by yourself, not let the software do the work for you…unless you are willing to risk your computer…so please rlslog, no more software like this on here. I am sure there are better driver checker utilities that just gives you the URL where to dload newest drivers.
