Dragon Wars DVDSCR XVID-ALLiANCE

Chaps from ALLiANCE released another nice dvd screener few moments ago. Dragon Wars also known as “D-War” is a fantasy drama based on a popular Korean legend. I would describe it a bit like Transformers combined with Jurassic Park with bunch of weird creatures – which sounds kind of cool, but it actually isn’t too good. The quality of this screener is perfect (better than many dvdrips) on 1 CD with a “property of” notice at the bottom, which appears from time to time.

Based on the Korean legend, unknown creatures will return and devastate the planet. Reporter Ethan Kendrick is called in to investigate the matter, and he arrives at the conclusion that a girl, stricken with a mysterious illness, named Sarah is suppose to help him. The Imoogi makes its way to Los Angeles, wreaking havoc and destruction. With the entire city under arms, will Ethan and Sarah make it in time to save the people of Los Angeles?

    @14 (Madstan) . Assuming your grand children don’t speak korean, I applaud you for introducing them to sub-titled films. To may people ignore good films because of sub-titles.

    My Bad. I looked at one sample, saw it had sub-titles and assumed the whole thing was Korean with sub-titles

    I then downloaded the sample and realised my mistake. Sorry.

    P.S On the strength of the sample, I will download it. I can always delete it (cyber-refund).

    story has its flaws but special effects are unrivaled. recommended to be viewed in hd if possible. if u can’t do that, still watch it and don’t think too hard. just be entertained.

    Finished watching it, absolutely amazing movie special effects wise, no doubt about it, I would go as far as to say they look better then Transformers.

    The story is a little stupid, but I loved the effects and CGI.

    I never take IMDB ratings for anything, I only go to IMDB to see what a movie it about and get links to a trailer, thats about it.

    I recommend CGI fans to download this movie for the sake of watching the effects!

    It’s a DVD Screener, some scenes are black and white for a few moments and go back to colour and then after a while to back to black and white, etc, etc.

    “Property of” scroll at bottom of image every 15 minutes followed by 5-10 seconds of black and white footage.

    Not as annoying as other DVD screeners with their one minutes of black and white footage every 10 minutes, that’s for sure.

    Wow!

    This sucked so bad I can’t even describe it – so I won’t.

    Recommend you fast-forward to the CGI scenes and ignore the rest.

    Such an odd film.

    The effects are great with plenty of CG action. But the non-CG parts are terrible, badly paced with laughable “logic jumps” that are there to only move the story along.

    *Very Minor Spoiler*

    Such as a woman being harassed outside a club, then while being interviewed by police a reporter takes her picture claiming it a “scoop”. This minor altercation is treated as newsworthy just so the protagonist can see her picture. And don’t get me started on the fact a Hospital borderline kidnaps her.

    I watched the cam of this a while back and enjoyed it as best i could, because of the quality of the cam. so with me getting it a second time my enjoyment speaks for itself.

    i like fantasy, i like action, and i like this in the stupid sense (using wires) i like comedy, and i like scfi, and anything that uses CGI.
    im not into anything where a movies strong point is its acting.
    so i loved this movie, even the ending wasn’t what i was expecting, but something i might of been open too.

    i watch a lot of movies from my lsted genre, and when i like something i usually buy it on DVD. this will be one of those…
